Up for bid is a 1949 Lincoln Cosmopolitan with a Flat head V-8 337ci and an automatic overdrive transmission.The car is orginaly from New Mexico and is almost rust free. the car is tank like solid. the only rust is in the floor one hole the size of a dime, and around the trunk lip. The trans mission shifts fine and does not slip. the engine and trans does not leak much at all. does not leave spots in the drive way. has new brakes, and brake hoses. Car has been converted from 6 volt pos ground to normal 12 volt neg ground and charges. engine runs well does have a slight dead spot in the carb on tip in. carb could use a rebuild. But other than that runs fine. has new fuel pump. car has been lowered with cut coils in the front and 4" blocks in the rear.drives well for being so old and low. has wide white walls in the front and port a walls in the rear. The main bad thing about the car is that it likes to run hot, the previous owner repalced the thermostats with NOS parts. i have also read that these engines were bad about being sand casted and there is sand left in after casting. however it is not that bad. please feel free to email me any questions Thanks for lookin' ******When picking up the car, bring cash and trailer. do not want anyone driving aound in a 1940's car in todays traffic in my name!!!!! it is tagged and can be road tested****** This car is also for sell locally and may end auction at any time because of this. please feel free to make an offer! open to trades!
