Vehicle Detail

I am relisting this car because of a last minute schmuck bidder who won and never responded to a single email of mine. So again, up for sale is my 1966 Dodge Coronet 500 383 big block, with an automatic 727 trans. with a brand new shifter cable, 4 barrel 650 edelbrock carb with vacuum secondaries, I just installed a MSD Ready to Run distributor because I was sick of dealing with the unreliability of the Mopar orange box setup with external ballast resistor, I still have all of it if someone wanted to switch back. It has exhaust headers with a 3 inch system that sounds great. The heads were rebuilt about 5 years ago and have only seen about 5,000 miles in my possession. The engine sounds very strong as if it might have a mild cam in it, but I have never heard a 383 prior to my ownership, so it might just be factory. The mileage of the car has been exempt since I've owned it, so your guess is as good as mine, but I can say that the drivetrain is solid with absolutely zero leaks from anywhere. Basically, what you see is what you get, this car is in good condition and my definition of good is that it is not show room and it is not excellent, on the same token it is not fair and it is not poor. It has it's problems like any car or anything that is 45 years old, it runs and drives good and with no major problems other than some little electrical issues such as horn, radio, and instrument cluster gauges are all disconnected, the electric is all there just never cared enough about that little stuff to worry about it, but with that being said I did install an electric temp gauge, electric oil pressure gauge and a voltage gauge so you won't be driving blind. For all the originality people out there, this car is a cruiser and nothing more, the motor was originally a 318 with a 4 speed transmission which were removed and long gone. I had the car painted flat black for the maintenance aspect of cruising, if you drive alot and get a chip or scratch in a premier paint job you will be dumping money into it everytime it gets touched but with flat black you need not worry about those things, you just get in turn the key and cruise. The mags are cragars with some pitting in the chrome, still look decent enough to roll with, the bumpers are rechromed and look brand new like they came straight off the factory line. All the glass is there and all the windows roll down like they should the weather stripping could use a little attention but I have kept it in my garage for the last 3 years of ownership. The driver door panel is a bit rough as you can see from my one picture, the floors and the trunk are solid with no rust or holes, the frame is solid with minor surface rust, overall the car is very solid it looks as though the under carriage was sprayed with rhino liner at one point to protect it from the elements. The car has seen some body work over the years but that would be expected with it's age, also on that note any body work that has been done looks good all around the lines on the car are as straight as they can be, and again like I said it makes one hell of a car if you just want to float around town with it or if you want a toy to work on and drive around. Basically thats exactly what I owned it for was to mess around with it in the garage and drive it around town. Please feel free to ask any and all questions I will try and answer them to the best of my knowledge. This will be a NO RESERVE auction, so good luck! And lastly I am selling this car locally and reserve the right to end the listing early if the car sells. Thank you!
