Here we have a clean, 1988 Porsche 928 S4 with 59,320 garage kept miles. My father bought this Porsche in 2001. He along with his mechanic set about doing every preventative maintenance thing to it that Devak Porsche recommended doing. Things such as changing every piece of rubber under the hood, including the oil pump seal and front crank seal. Also the timing belts, sprockets, and alternator were changed. The transmission was serviced and the rear wheel bearings changed on both sides too. Then he bought an MP41 Blaupaunt radio with 2 amps and sub-woofer. New tires were also purchased. He only put a few thousand miles on the car before his fight with cancer started, and ended this winter, putting his car up for sale. It had been repainted previously, and is deep, lustrous, glossy paint. There are only a few chips and a small crease in the left front fender, barely noticeable,see photo. The drivers seat has a crack in the leather on the outside edge. I put in a new battery and started it up to check it out. The AC compressor doesn't engage and the heater won't turn off. It runs a bit rich on cold idle and smooths out pretty well once it is warmed up. That is all I see wrong with the car, and everything worked properly a few years ago. The engine runs strong and has no noises, it shifts perfectly and the exhaust has no leaks. The brakes work great too. This a solid, rust free car in really strong mechanical condition, in need of just a little TLC. Also included are the complete factory shop manuals, worth hundreds of dollars and they were especially hard to get. There isn't any reason that you can't drive this car home.
