1997 Solectria Geo Metro Force ( New cost was $26,050 ) Full Highway Speed Electric Vehicle EV Factory Made 4 door vehicle Not DIY , Made in Wilmington MA Very good condition. Runs Great. Range is up to 40 miles ( if you install new batteries ) and depending on conditions. Current range is more like a solid 20 miles. Freeway speeds to 65 MPH ( Huge energy drain rate thus range much lower ) Dual air bags and non smoker car Driven daily on 22 mile round trip to work the last 2 years mostly Freeway at 55 MPH. Get about 238 watts per mile. There are 13 Deka Dominators, 90/88AH batteries that are about 5 to 6 years old ( Estimate ). They test at full charge about 55-65AH. The person who installed them did not peel the little circles out of the year, so the date is unknown. I have replaced 3 batteries in the last 12 months but the performance is good. I have limited my mileage to save the pack. Selling to let the next owner decide to either just run around town in the car, Update battery pack with the same Deka's to get back to about 35-40 miles or upgrade to lithium for more range. Several options with this great base vehicle. Deka's were the battery of choice by the factory. The motor is a 54kw AC brushless motor powered by state of the art converter. Installed a PakTrakr Intelligent Battery Monitoring Systems when I purchased the Force in 2007. It has been a great tool to make sure you always know how each battery is doing. Car has nice stickers to tell the world you are green but they are easily taken off if you want to travel in stealth mode. Built-in Brusa charger plugs into 120 or 240 volt power. It only charges 15AH on the Total usages meter then must be reset but I use a timer it has not been a problem. Always fully charged ever morning. Cold Air conditioning option, nice 7300 btu 134a system. Simple and it works. mostly too cold. Electric heating. The heater sometimes doesn’t work but the user group says to just change the relay but I have not yet It’s not that cold in California. Body is in good condition even being an east coast car for the first 8 years of it’s life. You can see from the pictures it looks nice. Dash cover is for looks and covers a clean dash with no cracks. AM/FM CD with Ipod jack on the front and removable faceplate. Dash has an amp hour meter to show battery state of USAGE. Optional Solectria combined Amp / Volt meter shows AMPS but has never displayed the voltage. Power assist vacuum brakes. No power steering. Regenerative braking … You will never buy brake pads again! Light tint on the drivers windows and medium on back rear side and back. All 3M and all legal. I can go on and on about these well built EV and compare them to the others but if you are reading this far down my ad … You already know about these impressive little cars. No Gas, No Gas tank, No Exhaust, No Gas engine, Little maintenance, No oil changes, Full size car with truck, Posted pictures so you can see the nice design with 5 batteries in front and 8 in the truck only laking the spare tire area thus a full trunk for those golf clubs or groceries. Includes owners manual and Factory Service Manual ( both available on line if you want to see before you purchase) This is not like buying a donated ICE car and converting it for near $20,000 as it's ready to go and you can chaneg batteries / charger if you need more mileage. There are many options that you can investigate with the support group. Car located north of Los Angeles so come test drive before you purchase. Note: Actual miles is 28,000 and there was an error at one of the Motor Vehicle Registration events when you see the history report where it showed 160,000 early in it's life. It was corrected 7 years ago so no emails please from folks not understanding EV's and sending me calculations for a standard ICE vehicle. It has been verified multiple times and compared to the all other EV Forces, the mileage of 28,000 is correct and the great condition even confirms a car with less than 28,000.
