Township of Copley is hereby authorized to offer for public sale at online auction through eBay.com a used 2000 Ford Crown Victoria, which is no longer needed for public use, upon the following terms and conditions: 1. There shall be a minimum sales price (reserve) at auction of $500.00. 2. The vehicle shall be sold “as is”. The Township of Copley makes no warranties as to fitness or merchantability. Prospective bidders may inspect said vehicle at the Copley Police Department 1280 Sunset Drive., Copley, Ohio by contacting Asst. Service Director Doug Miller, Copley Service Department at (330) 819-0241. Any sale shall be final. 3. Said auction shall be conducted in accordance with the terms and conditions respecting the sale of motor vehicles on eBay.com. In the event the minimum sales price (reserve) is not met, the Township of Copley may re-list said vehicle for auction or may elect to withdraw or amend the listing. If the vehicle is re-listed for auction, the bidders who participated in the sale shall be notified by eBay.com of the new date. 4. Bids shall be received for a period of ten (10) days after the bidding is opened. 5. The successful bidder shall be required to pay to the Township of Copley the purchase price, and reimburse to the Township of Copley eBay.com’s insertion fee, successful listing fee and reserve fee. Payment shall be made in certified or cashier’s check or money order made payable to the Copley Township within 3 days following the close of the bidding. 6. Upon receipt of payment, the Township of Copley shall deliver to the successful bidder the certificate of ownership. Within 10 days thereafter, the successful bidder shall be responsible to pick-up and remove said vehicle from Copley Police Department. In the event the successful bidder shall fail or refuse to remove said vehicle within the time period specified, the Township of Copley may have such vehicle removed to a storage facility and the costs of removal and storage shall be paid by the successful bidder before retrieving said vehicle. Should such vehicle not be retrieved, the Township of Copley may dispose of said vehicle pursuant to the provisions of Ohio Revised Code respecting abandoned vehicles. Additional information: This is a 2000 Ford CVP Crown Victoria 4-door. Fleet maintenance performed regularly, oil changes every 5000 miles. The tires are in good condition. Body and interior in good condition, normal wear. Left rear fender well has some rust and scrapes to left rear bumper. Engine runs good. Newer Firestone Firehawk tires (snow rated/pursuit rated).
