Up for auction is a 1967 Chevrolet Impala convertible. This is another barn find- it's been in storage for about 15 years and was just pulled out. The car has clear Wisconsin title. We did get the car running off a separate gas can(see picture). We don't like running them off of old gas tanks- probably needs to be flushed or replaced. The engine does not appear to be original but it is a V-8 car. From the numbers, the engine is a 1972 350 cu. in. with a two barrel carburetor. Block casting code is 3970014. Transmission is a two speed powerglide. We drove the car around the lot but it needs to be thoroughly gone through before it could go on the road-definitely needs brakes and see info on frame below. The interior looks pretty good- it appears to be original. Basically everything we tried seemed to work-speedometer, lights, horn, etc.. The radio is aftermarket - makes noise but didn't work very well. The convertible top has a glass rear window top and it does go up and down like it should. It appears to be in good shape-glass is good. The frame is very rusty- please see the pictures of the right frame rail and cross member. The floor pans look pretty good but it does look like it's had half quarter panels put on it. Much of the car appears to have original paint. The body and trim has some rust and dings but does appear to be all there. The bumpers look pretty good except the left rear corner piece has had some repair. The right passenger door glass is broke but the mechanism is there. The rest of the glass looks good but left rear window is scratched.
