1959 Singer Gazelle Estate This car is part of an estate that was left behind by one of my friends and I have listed it here for his trustee. This car was last registered back in 1992 and has been sitting in the California desert ever since. I have no other history on it. The car is a roller and appears to me to be complete short of a missing front headlight trim. The car has keys and a clear title signed by the estate trustee. It has an owner's manual. The car rolls easily and steers. The brakes are probably in there, but they do not work. The doors and trunk open and close nicely. There is evidence of prior body repair at the lower rear section behind the bumper. The engine turns through with the starting crank and has compression. I have not and will not try to start it. It does have oil. The gearshift lever moves. The pedals move. The parking brake works. The car has the jack and the lug wrench. The numbers on the ID plate on the firewall match the rest of the car. The fuel tank smells like it is probably okay. There are some extra pieces of side glass that probably go to another Rootes Group car. This car obviously ran when it was parked and I see no reason why it would not easily run again. It's all there under the bonnet. The car is currently stored in Yucaipa, California, 70 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, and can be inspected by appointment only during normal business hours at B and M Rentals and storage, 7 days a week. Charlie does not know anything about this car and is only there to open and close the gate so please do not harass or harangue him about it. This car does not run and will need to be removed on a tow truck or flatbed trailer at the expense of the buyer. It is being sold as a parts car/restoration candidate only and comes with no warranty or guarantee expressed or implied as to the suitablity or useablity for your intended purpose. I will not ship this car but I will assist the buyer in any ways possible if he chooses to do so. A 50 dollar nonrefundable deposit is due via paypal within 24 hours of auction end. Remaining Payment via PayPal, cash or cashiers check before Charlie will release the car from the yard. The car can probably be stored at B and M rentals and storage for an indeterminate period of time after the auction ends as long as you have paid for the car and paid Charlie in advance to keep it there at a rate to be determined between you and him. Otherwise, it needs to be picked up within two weeks of auction end. I have tried to describe this car as accurately and completely as I am able. A winning bid to buy is not a bid to negotiate later so bid responsibly and within your means to complete the terms of the auction.
