ok, with heavy heart , shes for sale. 1960 station wagon 88, sold new in 60 as (im told ) a piece of farm equipment, from homedale tractor Homedale ID. the nameplate on rear says homedale tractor&equipment, ive had it 10 years? "ish" and was a daily driver for a time, then job mover 50 miles...so.. bulkhead is solid , frame soild couple small holes, new rear cross-member, 95%complete authentic station wagon , rear upper bucket seats, throttle control,16 " wheels, set of 15"rims, various bits , its as shown, ive put good photos so look closely..dents, worn off paint,shes missing the sheet for the sw roof but easily made. she is what she is, a fixer upper, which its been for me, just repairing whats needed and driving her, also a decent candidate for a complete restore. to the best of my knowledge all is original, except brake master and clutch master (which i have). whats wrong: maybe a water pump,(included). wiring is operational but original, needs dimmer switch, tail light wiring loose, could use replacement, fairly straightfoward and simplep.rear axle on slip side was noisy , common problem ,they break ,but its a easy fix, when we started her last 2weeks ago she fired up good, ran rough, replaced the points, adjusted card, ran better, then she stalled, and now runs very rough and engine does not sound right. not clanking, or grinding, just louder and off , my GUESS ,after having 3 series trucks ,it the timing chain,but, im not looking at it anymore. i have 0 time to spend with her. in a worst case , engine rebuild time.THE PRICE REFLECTS THAT SCENARIO shes been a great rig other wise. parts are cheap and easy to get , British Atlantic, rovers north being the best 2 ,but there is many others.far from perfect but very far from worthless rover.good luck .dan also mileage stopped at 94000 ,and if i missed anything im new at listing vehicles so i apologize in advance.I have tried to list it honestly and fairly(more so than a seller should LOL! but it needs some love and the right person will love this rover.
