Vehicle Detail
An absalute blast to drive, and an eye catching streetrod even though its been painted 15yrs and has some scratches and nicks in it.I get compliments on this thing everywhere I take it,and thumbs up from passerbyes all the time.It still has the straight axle front suspension,so it drives like a 46 Ford, except it does have power steering and an automatic trans. It still needs some work on the floor pans, where the guy that put it together used some road signs to patch them, which was OK with him but not to me.I did not even notice this when I bought it.I noticed it when I was putting a new master cylinder on it.It also has a new booster, and new brakes and wheel cylinders all the way around. It has a 9in ford rear with 3.00. highway gears so its pretty descent on gas with the bored out 307 and turbo 350 tranny.New cooper cobra tires all around and has a tilt and telescoping steering colum and seats from a Chevy Astro and console from a Chevy S10.It needs to be changed over to electric wipers,as it has the stock vacume, and you have to let off the gas to get it to wipe,Rain-X has been fine with me.If you have any ??? at all, please feel free to contact me,and you'll get an HONEST answer, cause I don't care how long I keep the car,I have 5 other cars too.I'm more of a musclecar kinda guy and love my Chevelles,so if you have something you're looking to trade in on it we can talk about that too.I'v had this car a little over a year and it's had to sit outside,it deserves to be garaged and kept out of the weather.Oh and I have new king pins and bushings you can have with it and it could use those too,I'm sure that would make it drive a bit better.Pioneer Am,Fm cassette stero hidden in the glove box,but could use better speakers though. If I think of anything else,I'll add to it later.I'v been driving this car for the last couple weeks pretty much everywhere I'v gone, and washing it I have descided it could use a paint job or repairs made to the paint where it's bubbling in the lower corners of the fenders,lt has been painted for 15yrs.I'v lowered my reserve to take care of the cost of a standard,no frills paint job.I believe my reserve price is very fair for a 1946 ford in the shape it's in.
