For sale is a 1983 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham d' Elegance. It has just under 49,900 original miles on the 350 diesel. I have gone through the top part of the engine and fixed all the "problems" that give the 350 diesel a bad reputation by replacing the factory head bolts with ARP studs that are for the 5.7L diesel engine, all new glow plugs, and I have removed the plug at the rear of the intake on each side and plumbed a hose to circulate coolant to the front of the engine instead dead ending in the rear of the motor (this helps keep an even temp. through out the head). It also has a Raycor water/particulate filter. I have put 10,000 miles on this car in the last two years and have had NO problems. Miles per gallon is about 21 city and 27-30 highway. The car has every option, tilt-telescoping steering wheel, power seats, memory seats, power windows, power mirrors, leather interior, cruise control, electronic temprature control, COLD air conditioning and HOT heater, automatic high beam dimmer and twilight headlight switch (turn lights on automatic), and an air level rear suspension. I had a new top put on recently. There is only one very small door ding in the passenger front door, other than that and I think a couple of small chips the body is in awesome shape and the paint is original so it is not perfect. There are two cracks in the dash that come off the corner of the defroster vents. This has been a Montana car since originally purchased out of Williston, ND. The tires are about 80%. I just fill it up the other day and the mileage was 22.08 mpg, that is in town back and forth to work with the A/C on. I am asking $3,500 O.B.O. don't be afraid to make an offer. This is an awesome car and will last a long time if taken care of. The bottom line is this is a very nice car for $3,500 that is reliable and is cheaper per mile to run than most gas powered cars its size.
