Vehicle Detail

This is a great opportunity for you to get an awesome car at a low price. I absolutely love this car, but it requires repairs that I cannot afford. I bought this car as a "little old lady" car from a dealer selling it as a favor to the owner, and I have had an excellent experience with it. You're wondering what all is wrong with it, though. So here's a list of everything I know of that is wrong with this car: The brake lines have sprung a leak. This is the biggest issue, and the one I cannot afford to fix. The car currently has NO brake pressure, and you will need to tow it somewhere to have the brake lines repaired before driving it.There is a small dent in the passenger side door and a broken slat in the front grate. These are part of the "old lady car" aspects, and were there when I got the car. Most likely due to opening the door without looking how far away the next car is, or pulling too far forward in the garage. I took pictures of the damage. There are some small problems with the sound system. The cassette player doesn't work, somebody pulled off the radio antenna, and there is a bad connection to one of the speakers. I have disconnected the speaker in question (see picture), it works just fine but there is a problem somewhere in the wiring that causes it to put out static. With it disconnected, you don't notice much, except it is quieter from the rear passenger side. The radio picks up most stations just fine, and it's only those with lower power that I've had difficulty with. Honestly, none of these problems were ever enough for me to even go to get an estimate for fixing them. There is some rust on the gas cap door. I've taken a picture of this. Because the paint is a multi-coat coloring, auto repair stores do not sell a matching touch-up paint. I was told to contact the manufacturer, but did not get a chance to before the brake line issue. This is the only rust I've seen on the body of the car. Some of the metal portions of the "Riviera" text on the car are missing. See pictures. There is a secondary handle on the driver's door, and one of the brackets is off. It will be included with the car.The interior leather is in, as a whole, great condition. There is some wear on the driver's seat, though. Pictures are included. The hydraulics on the hood don't hold it up. I use a clamp to keep the piston from going back in, this works just fine (I can even throw in the clamp if you want it). The battery is currently dead. I was holding on to this car hoping I could come up with the funds to fix it, but I never could. I have jumped the car once, and it started fine after this. As you will need to tow the car away anyways, I don't see this being much of an inconvenience. There is EVERYTHING I know of that is wrong with this car. Lots of minor things, it's only because of the brake issue that I am selling this car. This is quite possibly the most comfortable car I have ever driven, and certainly has the nicest back seat of any coupe I've been in. I am 6'4", and I can comfortably drive this car OR ride in the back seat. A good sized American engine in great condition, I've never had any problems with passing or getting up to highway speed. Here's some of the features that aren't listed above: Power MoonroofPower Trunk (not only does it pop open with the key fob, but a motor will slowly pull it fully closed after you shut it)White cream exterior with a maroon/burgundy leather interior.Front and rear ashtrays with cigarette lighters (a rare feature these days)A recessed passenger dashboard for extra passenger spaceConverted A/CElectronic security keys and remote key fob (rare for the age of the car)A "mafia sized" rear trunk with spare and storage under the carpeted part.Oft-complimented style and hubcaps. The previous owner kept pretty meticulous care of the car (I still have the original window sticker), and I've done much the same. Regular oil changes every 3.000 miles, and all problems large and small were fixed as soon as they popped up (barring the brakes, which I cannot afford). Some of the repairs I've done to the car since I purchased it: 4/09-Replaced windshield (a small crack was there when I purchased the car, I didn't think it was very much but it seems you can't pass Missouri inspections with any sort of windshield crack)4/09- Replaced crank position sensor and coil assembly (a minor problem with the idling speed, but I'm very meticulous and had it fixed)8/09- Replaced mufflerThe car is up to date on inspections, and was in perfect running condition when the brake issue occurred. I have the title free and clear, and the Carfax/Autocheck report is as clean as a whistle. I really have loved this car, and I can only hope that one of you can give her a good home.
