Vehicle Detail

This is a 1958 Chevy Biscayne 2 door post from Georgia with a 348, tri-power, T-10 4 speed and a new rebuilt 336 posi rear. The mileage is original to the body of the car and stated on a clear Pa. title. Factory Black car and originally had Black and Silver interior but was converted to all Black. The engine is not original to the car. It has a 409 oil pan on it to relocate the dipstick to the passenger side. The charging system was converted to an alternator. An electric fuel pump has also been added along with the fuel tank being replaced. The fuel gauge does work. The tripower set up is on the original manifold but has the small base Rochesters completely rebuilt with an electric choke on the center carb and progresive linkage. The tranny was rebuilt along with a new clutch, pressure plate and T/O brg. It has an original style Chicken leg shifter and linkage. The rear end is a new 336 posi rear recently installed. The floorboards have been replaced at some point but they did a nice job. The rest of the body has the original 1/4's, trunk floor, rockers etc. The car was from Georgia and still has the original undercoating in the 1/4's etc. We went around the car with a dash plaque magnet and didn't find any evidence of bondo and appears to be all steel. This car has the original factory spot welds still under the eye brows and the original weep holes and drain holes in the rocker panels, trunk and spare tire well. It has a bench seat and the interior has also been redone. All the gauges, idiot lights, dash lights and interior lights all work. The clock works but loses time. No tears in the seats or the carpet. It has a disc brake conversion done on it and a power brake booster has been added along with 15 X 7 rally's with newer tires, wheel cylinders, lines. It has an older dual exhaust system with Cherry Bombs that sounds good and runs full length out the back with chrome tips. The paint on it is nice, shiny and looks very presentable but when you look at it close it could be buffed out to help. Just trying to give everyone the best description. The chrome and stainless on it is nice and some has been redone including the bumpers. I will ship the car and do what I can on my end to help. I can keep the car if needed for a while as long as it's previously discussed. If close by I may be able to help with delivery but no promises and again if discussed in advance. If you are interested email me back with your name and number and I will call you and discuss the car with you.. I have sold several cars here and never had any issues. The car is what it is and I will describe it the best I can. If you are new to Ebay or have less than 10 positive feedbacks please contact me before bidding. If you do not contact me I may cancel any bids. On the way to the second show the float stuck on the center carb. We cleared it out and continue to the show and home. We went somewhere around 45 miles to the show and back home with no problem. It seems to have developed a hesitation now. I assume it is in the carb since that's where the issue was. It still ran and drove fine but you can tell it's there so I wanted to mention it. It still looks the same under the hood as it didn't hurt anything in the appearance. Thanks _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Would consider trade for 55, 56, 57 Chevy pick up as long as we can work something out so ebay still gets their fee's. Let me know.
