Here i am selling my 1985 Mercedes 300TD wagon . I thought i will be keeping this car forever , but i will be working from home now and do not need a second car . This must be one of the cleanest 123 series wagons you will see . Whenever i drive it , people come up to me and compliment me on the terrific shape .  This car was finished in this dark red color , which looks more like a burgundy . Mercedes calls it color code 504 or "English Red" ,  with Palomino color MB-Tex interior . The body and the paint are in great condition . There are no dings or dents and the paint still shines like new . The interior is super clean as well , as you can see in the pictures . There are no rips or tears in the seats , the carpets are clean and even the wood is still in very nice condition . This car looks much more like a very well taken care of 5 year old then a 26 year old automobile .  I just recently had a full service done , including all fluid and filter changes , valve adjustment . The whole car was gone through and nothing else was needed . The tires have only about 2000 miles on them . The best thing about this wagon is the way it drives . The transmission shifts perfectly and the car has lots of power . It handles well driving over 90 miles per hour on the freeway and is also fun driving in town . With the turbo charger it is not slow at all . On a recent trip to Las Vegas from Los Angeles  i got 28 mpg of diesel while going 80 mph the whole way . This must be one of the most economical and reliable classic cars , which you can drive every day . This car was always maintained to the highest standards and it really shows .  The 3 liter 5 cylinder turbo diesel engine is considered by many to be the longest lasting engine Mercedes built . There are several Mercedes diesel from the eighties on Ebay right now with 400k-500k miles and still driving well . If you keep maintaining this car , it should last you a lifetime .  The 5 cylinder engine is also a perfect candidate for Bio diesel conversion . This way you could drive it on vegetable oil or free waste oil from restaurants . I have never tried it , but with gas over $4,- gallon it sure sounds like a good idea .  The wonderful 123 series Mercedes have been going up in value over the last few years again . 1985 was the last year for these cars and there are not that many wagons in this condition around anymore . This is , why this one will not be cheap , but i am sure it will be worth it to the right person . I would prefer to sell it to somebody local who could actually come by and see it / test drive it . But i would also be willing to help with shipping arrangements or a airport pick up . All shipping charges would have to be paid by the buyer .  This is a 26 year old car in wonderful condition and it will be sold without a warranty "as is" and "where is" .  If you have any more questions or would like to make an appointment to see my wagon , feel free to send me a quick note .
