Looks, Feels, even Smells BRAND NEW Inside and Out! (no smoking or pets) Has DSG, VW/Audis amazing dual clutch sport sequential paddle transmission! Always garaged! IMPECABLE MAINTANIENCE (dealer only)....ALL RECORDS (synthetic oil) No dings, scratches, or dents Still Under Warranty (including free maintanience)! My feedback is 100% positive (three items are vehicle sales) Unfamiliar with GTIs? They are one of the best sports cars made. VW really got this one right. Advantages of a GTI 30 mpg hwy./24 town (this what I get, not the EPA rating) Virtually rust proof State of the art safety (tons of air bags, stability and traction control, great brakes and handling) Turbocharged 200 HP (lots of low end torque) Luxurious, comfortable, roomy interior High level of driving feedback All the qualities of a much more expensive sports coupe Tons of room behind front seat Hatchback configuration (easy to load) Extremely well thought out (example: outside vents close automatically when in reverse to keep out exhaust fumes) HID headlights Very attractive OEM wheels Great visibility High manuverability for city, but solid and stable for highway Specifications Performance/Handling 200 Hp turbo Electric power steering (great feedback) Front suspension – independent strut Rear suspension – multilink independent Stability, anti-slip, differential lock, brake force distribution, ABS All season tires (75% tread left) DSG transmission with paddle shifters Safety Front, side, and side curtain airbags Daytime running lights Head restraints all around Side protection door beams Disk brakes all around Tire pressure monitor Stability, anti-slip, differential lock, brake force distribution, ABS Convenience/Comfort AC Heated power mirrors Cruise Leather wrapped steering wheel Trip computer and compass 6 disk CD changer MP3 format capability Sirrus radio 60/40 folding rear seat Telescoping, height adjustable steering Remote key Power windows with pinch protection Theft alarm with immobilizer Xeon lights (with fogs) Extra deep mats front and rear for snow/mud (option) Removable extra heavy Gorilla mat for rear compartment (option) I have owned sports cars all my life which covers a considerable time (I am 70 years old). This includes MGs, Corvetts, Porsches, and a couple of muscle cars. I tend to drive them a long time and give them immaculate care. But I am selling this GTI with only 8,300 miles on it. Why? Its certainly not because the GTI is not a fast, great handling car. And I love the way it looks. I am, however as I mentioned, 70, and have realized I am not the hot-shot driver I once thought I was. I think I am ready to bite the bullet and buy a Ford Flex or something similar to cruise in. So the bottom line is Im selling one of the best cars I have ever owned with 8,300 miles on it, something I never thought I would do. If you have never driven a GTI and enjoy sports cars with soul, I encourage you to give one a try. The turbo gives it astonishing low-end power. This combined with the DSG transmission makes it a very quick car. Drop the tranny into “Sport”, use the paddles, and the car flies. Handling is a revalation. Thanks to its stability and traction control, it corners like its on rails, whether the roads are wet or dry. There is no torque steer that I can detect, even when accelerating hard out of a corner. A GTI is not your typical hot hatch inside. It is well thought out, roomy, comfortable, and luxurious. At night with the lights on it feels like you are flying a 747. Little red lights are everywhere, even in the doors and above the windshield, indicating every function. You can lean the back seats forward and, due to the big hatch in the back, have your own mini truck. Also, for those of you who live in the midwest or north east, a late model GTI is probably one of the most rust proof vehicles made. Finally, according to tests, this is one of the safest cars on the road on frontal, offset, and side collisions. With this in mind and the good handling, brakes, and passing acceleration, you feel very relaxed driving this car, knowing you are safe as you can get while driving down our dangerous highways (while getting 30 miles per gallon). Realizing I really need to sell it, I am offering this car for a one dollar starting bid with no reserve. I know I am going to feel like kicking myself as the new owner drives this car away. However, some lucky bid winner is going to love it, hopefully for years to come. You just might want to think twice about bidding, though, if you are pushing 70.
