Fly in to GF airport, I’ll pick you up and drive her home. Up for bids is my 1977 Chevrolet Cheyenne C-20 Trailering Special 454 Big Block, 400 Turbohydromatic. I bought this truck in Spring 2009. The truck has 128,000 miles on it. I am the second owner. This truck is an everyday driver, always garaged and stored in winter. The truck was always been serviced and maintained by the Chevrolet dealer during the first 30 years with its first owner. Truck has all of its original cab corners, cab mounts, rocker panels and floor boards in good condition. The Bed is the original to the truck and is rust free and solid, has the original tailgate that works well This truck has an original wooden floor in the bed (RPO E81) that has been restored. GM original dealer installed chrome step bumper 994923. Has a new custom length Berlin Tonneau cover. This is a solid rust free 77 Chevrolet ¾ ton 2wd. This truck originally had air conditioning. I planned on converting it to a Vintage Air under dash unit to help with fuel mileage. Could be returned to stock air conditioning system. All dash controls work well. The truck has been given a fresh coat of the original metallic blue and white at some point, looks great. Interior is in very good condition. Vinyl dash cover has the usual cracking and could be replaced. Custom cover was put over seat and stays in place and looks great. Original upholstery has a tear, seat frame and foam are in great shape. All gauges work, has factory tilt wheel, original AM radio and new full length black rubber floor mat. Window glass weatherstrip felts, Inner and outer have been replaced. I do have the Original build / broadcast sheet for this truck. The Engine…Original standard bore 454. Does not burn any oil. Holds factory oil pressure rating on the hottest days. Compression check was done and cylinders were all within 10 lbs of each other. I installed a new Edelbrock RVcam kit and timing chain set, Edelbrock Performer 2.0 Aluminum Intake, and Carb calibrated by Edelbrock for economy and good mileage on a 454. It has a set of NOS aluminum Cal Custom valve covers on it. New GM HEI distributor, Accel 8.8 plug wires and AC Delco plugs. I do have original cast iron intake and valve covers if you want them. When I replaced the intake and valve covers, the motor was extremely clean inside. All new hoses, Prestone coolant and thermostat, always runs 180 degrees. I replaced the Starter and Alternator with new AC Delco units because of their age not because of part failure. I replaced all filters and fluids – power steering, rear axle, transmission and engine. Repacked front wheel bearings and greased front suspension. Below is a list of other replaced items on the truck. · New Harrison 4 row Radiator installed by last owner · New Hooker headers · New 2 ½ “ mandrel bent dual exhaust exiting behind rear tires · New Flowmaster mufflers · New Kats 600 watt frost plug block heater · New power steering hoses, pressure and return · Turbo 400 transmission, rebuilt by Fort Dodge Iowa Transmissions Inc. Rebuilt for towing purposes. New torque converter and flexplate. Has original GM four quart deep sump pan and external radiator mounted cooler from factory. · New 265-75-16 LT tires · Vintage Delta gull wing toolbox with locks and keys painted White to match truck trim color. Black tonneau cover with aluminum black frame custom length to fit bed with toolbox by Berlin Covers. · New Delco master cylinder, brake shoes, pads, and front end alignment done at GM Dealership 90 days before my purchase in 2009. · All fuel hoses to both tanks have been replaced, front to rear. New AC Delco fuel pump. Tank on the drivers’ side is presently being used. Both fuel tanks have been removed and cleaned inside and out. Driver side tank has new AC Delco sending unit in it. Tank switch on dash and valve work. · New Reese class 3-4 Hitch Items to be finished · Original AM radio needs to be hooked up · Has small crack in windshield The truck is in great condition, it’s a very solid rust free truck with 128,000 miles. I would drive this truck cross country without any hesitation. I have put 3500 miles on this truck with no problems. This is a great driving truck and does get decent fuel mileage for its age and with a 454. The photos speak for its condition. If I had the room for this truck I would love to hang on to it. This truck is very fun to drive, no new truck can stay up with it, but with a new one it won’t get driven as much. My reason for selling- I Recently purchased that new Chevrolet truck and I have too many projects, 4 years ago I purchased a 1955 Chevrolet 2 door post sedan, It’s been setting in my backyard. I want to build a straight axle gasser. I am also helping my wife with her 1968 VW Karmann Ghia restoration, so I hope the 77 will find a new home. You are welcome to contact me with any questions you may have… Thanks for looking!
