Up for auction is a 1966 Chevelle Convertible. This car is a Malibu Car. When the restoration was started the body of the car was completely soda blasted. The body was pulled from the frame and it was blasted inside out and upside down on a rotisserie. The body was then covered in a two part epoxy primer to be body worked. The convertible received new floor pans driver, passenger, and rear. The trunk was cut out and a brand new trunk pan was installed. The rear wheel wells were cut out and mini tubbed. The passenger side door is also brand new. All sheetmetal was ordered from OPGI. They reproduce chevelle parts to exact specs and create some of the best fitting parts. The hood is a two inch cowl induction and was made by Glasstek. The inside and outside have been painted in a deep and beautiful House of Kolor black. There are color shifting ghost flames on the raised part of the hood. The frame of the car was completely sand blasted. It was then taken straight to the powder coater and covered in a very healthy coat of black. The powder was shot completely down the rails. The frame is covered in beautiful powder coat on the inside and outside. The entire underside of the car (underside of floor pans, not frame) has been covered is a raptor bed liner like product. This is very strong and provides a hard protective coating. This thing is not going to rust anytime soon!! The suspension was ordered right from Air Ride Technologies and consists of Tubular Strong Arm Upper and Lower control arms in the front with a shockwave air ride bag. The rear is the Tubular Strong Arm Upper and Lower controls arms.. These also have an air bag set up.. The rims are brand new 20" Boyd Coddington Magneto's. 8" wide in front 10" wide in rear. The brakes are Classic Performance Parts Big Disc Brake Kit. The car with come with a brand new chrome master cylinder brake booster combo. There are also from CPP. The rear end is a Moser M9 custom fabricated housing. There is also 35 spline axles installed. This car is extremely beautiful and will seriously turn some heads when it is finished. Every single bolt in this car is brand new and no expense was spared in producing this gorgeous roller. This will be a very simple finish for someone. This convertible could easily be on the road in a few weeks. I have all the seats, the dash, convertible top, steering column, and pretty much every part to put this back together. The interior will need new upholstery as will the convertible top. There is well over $17,000 just in the parts for this car!!!! Add up the costs.. This one is a great start!!! The reserve is now set at $12,000 (which is well below just the parts, not to mention paint job). If I do not get atleast that for it I will keep the car and finish to be sold for $50,000 easy. The title was a salvage title, but once the car is completed you should be able to get it inspected and receive a clear one upon passed inspection.
