Vehicle Detail
The driving condition of this car is very good. I keep it well maintained, and replace parts at the first sign of fault. I'm the second owner. I use this car almost exclusively for going back and forth to the mountains. The all-wheel drive and traction control make it a dream to drive in any weather. The six speed manual transmission makes it a fun car to drive, and the v-6 still has plenty of passing power. The one thing that hasn't been fixed is a catalytic converter, and censor. My mechanic told me that it's an extremely common issue with high mileage Audis. He assured me that it has no effect on the drivability or its ability to pass emissions, which has been absolutely true for me. I've also talked to many other Audi owners who have also shared this exact same issue and advise. If you want to get it fixed, I think it runs about a thousand dollars. There is a check engine light on in the car, and will be on until this issue is fixed. I would drive this car across country with full confidence. The condition of the outside of this car is what I would call fair. The paint is still in good shape other than the areas that are dented and scratched. There is no collision damage exceeding parking lot bumps or rubs. There are however many of those small dents and scratches. The original owner of the car is a woman in her fifty's who has a young son who throws temper tantrums. The worst spot on the body is a place where the kid kicked or hit the car with something. Its on the left side of the car behind the back door. I featured it one of the pictures, but its hard to see. If you're interested in seeing more pictures of it or any other part of the car, feel free to e-mail me. Its my opinion that none of the damage is bad enough that it makes the car embarrassing to drive. The windows are tinted. The color is dolphin grey, but most people think its blue. I think its blue. It comes with Michelin all season tires that have at least 50% tread left on them, and Michelin snow tires that have at least 75% tread left on them. It will also come with ski/snowboard racks if you want them. They have been used about 25 times. The windshield is pitted but not cracked. The headlights are also pitted, but that can be easily buffed out. The interior of the car is in good condition. There are no rips or major wear on the black leather seats. The only major wear in the carpet is under the gas and brake pedals, but I think its just the mat, not the actual carpet. The tint is in good condition. The heat and air conditioning work great, but the buttons are a bit worn looking. The radio works good, but the antenna doesn't get good reception out of town. The six disc changer works fine, but there is an issue with one of the buttons. The button is broken but still looks fine, and the function still works. Its just one of those situations where you have to pull the button off and use a pen. Its either the load or unload button for the disc changer. I don't change the CDs often. Both front seats are power, and both work fine. This car does not have a sun roof. The ashtray cover sticks closed. Please don't contact me for questions or pictures unless you are a serious buyer. I'm also listing this car locally, and reserve the right to end this auction early. The winner of this auction must pick it up in person or arrange for their own shipping, and only after I've received full payment. I am willing to bring the car to the Denver International Airport area, or anywhere in the Denver metro area. There will be a five hundred dollar payment due at the end of the auction. The remainder must be paid within seven days of the auction close. I am fine with letting you have a few extra days to pick it up if needed. I will also be happy to get a Colorado emissions test done at the buyers request. I have all the maintenance records and the spare key. The following is a list of some of the recent mechanical history. -New front brakes 2/7/11-All new ignition coils 133551 miles. Dealer recall -New radiator 130726 miles-Replace timing belt, water pump, serpentine belt, full tune up, rear brakes 126910 miles-Replaced cooling fan control module 127981 miles
