We've taken many long road trips with the family in this Ford Windstar. Most recently, we moved from North Carolina to Colorado. Soon after we drove to California and back. This van is extremely reliable on the highway and has never let us down. Power windows, power door locks, power driver's seat, cruise control, power mirrors. You'll love the keyless entry which can be reprogrammed for any code you wish. I rarely brought keys with me into a store. Instead you can open (and lock) the van from the driver's door keypad. Radio includes a rare CD and tape deck combination. Intermittent wiper with rear window wiper as well. Front and back climate control. The rear climate can be controlled from the front or turned over to the rear passengers to control. Control panel in middle row allows rear passengers to listen to anything the front passengers are not. That means they can watch/listen to a video while the front passengers enjoy a CD or the radio. We've never used it but our kids are getting to the age of taking advantage of it in another one of our cars. A fold down mirror above the rearview mirror affords a great view of the back seat passengers without blocking the rearview mirror. DC power is located in every row: one near the driver, two in the middle row and one next to the jack compartment in the rear. All work perfectly. Dual sliding doors. Bench set in the rear and captain's chairs in the middle row are all easily removed. On long trips we usually took one of the middle seats out for more room. The rear bench seat reclines and is adjustable forward and backward to accommodate more or less cargo. The center and front captain's chairs are also fully recline-able. The brake and gas pedals are adjustable forward and backward to accomodate every driver. The driver's seat includes power lumbar support. Alloy wheels - no plastic hubcaps here. If maintenance needed to be done it was take care of right away. Tires are fairly new. Driver's window motor was recently replaced. The struts were recently replaced all the way around as well. Oil changes have been completed every 3,000 miles. Of note: there are a few dings around the van from parking lots. It has never been in an accident so it's normal stuff you'd expect in a 2001. The windshield has a small spot of dings as noted in the pictures. We've driven for years and it's never spread further than you see. It's always passed state inspections. The two rear window motors have stopped working but we never used them any way. They don't go down, but rather, simply swing out about 1". You'll also see two dings in the front bumper in the pictures. The video system includes a VCR as noted in the pictures. Looks like it would be easy to replace it with a DVD player but we've never tried. All receipts come with the van. Everything we've ever had done is recorded there. The van is garaged near Colorado Springs, CO. I can deliver within 100 miles for free or meet you at the Colorado Springs airport (COS). Kelly Blue Book Value in Good condition is listed at $3,765.
