I have owned this MGB since 2008. When I purchased this car it had some rust in the rocker panels & floors. When I drove the car into the body shop I have him the car and $4000 worth of NEW parts to restore my car. Well, after almost three years I fiannly picked up the car yesterday because the body shop is going out of business. The good news is that the body & paint work ($5000 labor) is mostly completed. The doors, hood, and trunk lid are painted on the inside but only primed on the outside. The body panels were purchased new from Victoria British and welded into place. They include: Jack Point Reinforcements(2), Rocker Panel End Caps(2), Seat Floor Pans(2), Rocker Panels(2), Side Members-Lower(2), Door Skins(2), and 4 gallons of PPG Pale Primrose Paint. The body parts alone were $789. I also had a new heater unit with blower motor, new brake master cylinder, new clutch master cylinder, and clutch slave cylinder installed. This is a mtaching number car with only 62,539 miles. The VIN# GHN4U1521115G and the this is an overdrive car. The motor ran great and the transmission shifted perfectly when I drove it in to be restored. I did have a new clutch kit installed while the motor was out. The engine and transmission dod not need any work. In addition the new owner will get the following new parts: New seat rails, complete black carpet kit, sound deadening kit, complete trim kit including all interior panels in black w/white piping, stainless steel fender molding kit, seat cushion kit, black seat covers w/white piping, seat webbing, convertible top w/zip-out rear window, new front & rear chrome bumpers, new exhaust system w/hangers and hardware, and a bunch of other misc. parts. I also have the original top and top frame that came off the car. The top frame is perfect. It also comes with a new battery and the battery boxes do have plastic liners and are rust-free. I did repaint the car the original Pale Primrose Yellow. Please call me or email me if you have any questions or you need additional photos.
