Today we have for sale a 1957 chevy truck/pickup..Its a 1/2 ton with original paint and interior..The owner has owned this truck for the last 40 plus years..Its an original V8 Hydramatic..Still has original column in truck..It was changed to a straight 6 and 4 speed after the trans went out..At that time the engine and trans were both rebuilt..It has the removeable crossmember still if you want to but back original..Has been sitting on the ranch for the last 2 years..We put a new battery and she fired right up..Old gas, but we will clean out..Lights work, and we just installed new tail lights..This is the deluxe model with all the chrome inside and out..Around the windows front,side and rear..Still have the emblems for the hydramatic but the other emblems were taken years ago..Original spare still under rear of bed..Jack still inside along with original owners guide in glove box..This is a VERY,VERY SOLID CALIFORNIA TRUCK..There is a crease in drivers door..(Happened in 1972) and a dent in the passenger front fender that will also need fixed..I do have another chrome original headlight ring..Nice original chrome or stainless grill,nice straight front bumper..Good clutch..Engine and trans have low miles..Doesnt look that way but they do..Just been on ranch ..Nice original seat.. Original rubber mat and headliner..Hub caps not included in SALE..PLEASE NOT HUB CAPS NOT INCLUDED..THANKS FOR LOOKING..THIS IS A SOLID TRUCK..GOOD LUCK.. Please call with questions or email me..805-286-7815... englands54@charter.netOn Jul-18-11 at 20:17:53 PDT, seller added the following information: Just wanted to let everyone know that I had a chance to look at the brakes today.They had fluid but had air in the lines..I flushed all the fluid out and bled the brakes.The brake peddle feels good now and the truck has brakes.I also drained the old gas and installed new fuel..Truck fires right up and runs good.It does need a tuneup. It has a new cap but could use some new points..ect.
