1971 HONDA CB 175 MOTORCYCLE Here's a great classic bike and a chance to own it at a great price! It is in need of some work. I purchased it a couple years ago and started to get it going but just haven't had the time to complete it. It had been in storage since 1991 and was part of an estate. As you might expect, the gas tank was empty but did have a rust buildup inside it. It was filled with ethanol and left setting for last winter. Recently, I removed the valve at the bottom of the tank and rinsed it out. I had planned on a mild acid wash also to clean the inside more, but haven't had a chance. Also, there is no spark and I haven't had a chance to check it. I assume it may need points and condensor(s). It has a new battery and cranks over very well. All the lights and accessories seem to be working. It does have a new, after-market ignition switch and a new Minnesota title. (Click on any image to enlarge) According to the decal on the back, this bike was originally sold by Pierce Motor Center San Gabriel, California This motorcycle is now located about 80 miles west of Minneapolis in Eden Valley, Minnesota. You can make arrangements with me to pick it up yourself, or, for $75 I can build a crate for it and deliver it to either the FedEx Freight or Conway Freight terminal in St. Cloud, MN. It is up to you as the buyer to pay and make arrangements with them. This item will also be listed locally. If there are no bids and I receive an acceptable offer locally, this listing will be cancelled. Any payment form must clear before item is picked up or shipped. Bear in mind that this motorcycle is not running and as with all our items is being sold in "as is" condition. I've seen many175s sell, some for up to $1700. I am reasonably sure that with some fuel system cleaning, a light tune-up, and a good wash and detail, you'll have not only a bike in good condition at a great price, but also a 40 year old classic to enjoy!
