Some IDIOT hit my car parked in front of my house and has left me without a car. This is by-far the best car I've ever owned and I'm seriously disappointed to be trashing it. I was expecting to hit 350000 miles minimum. At this point, I think it would be a great parts car. I still see this body style on the road. Unfortunately, I don't have the time or know-how for parting a car and don't have a place to keep while I slowly dismember it. I think it would be too sad for me anyway. I have researched the engine and the salvage yards are selling them for about $600 and the transmission for about $450. The engine goes for about $2000 refurbished. All of this is way beyond my capabilities. The engine can be used in other car models, which should make it easier to sell. I would certainly like to have all that can be made from parting a car, but it's just not meant to be. Please contact me if anyone is interested in the slightest. I can take more pics or answer more questions if I have to failed to mention anything. The car is in Weatherford, TX. ENGINE - yes it has 283000 miles on it BUT it's great - no leaks, slips, misses, etc. It was my only transportation until the idiot smashed it. I live 100 miles round-trip from work so these are almost all highway miles. I can provide pictures to those who might be interested. TRANSMISSION - again, 283000 miles, BUT it's also great - no leaks, slips, misses, etc. Almost all highway driving so not a lot of shifting required through the years. Don't know if one can take photos of this, but will try if necessary. GOOD Interior - no rips, tears, or stains - headliner still intact - dash is not cracked - carpets are good - seat movements all work properly - all gauges work properly - cruise control works properly - mirror controls work properly Exterior - both passenger doors in good shape - driver front door works, but could use a little work - passenger side in general is good - hood is good - driver front fender is good - rims are good - tires are good - door windows and back windshield are all great BAD Interior - glove box broke off years ago and cannot find replacement - driver door panel attachments broken and cannot find replacement - original stereo works, but cassette player has issues sometimes Exterior - driver front door needs a little smoothing out - driver back door is ruined from crash - entire trunk is crap now because of crash On Jul-14-11 at 08:43:01 PDT, seller added the following information: ENGINE DECRIPTION VG30E engine -- Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 The 3.0 L (2960 cc) VG30E produced 153 hp (114 kW) and 182 ft·lbf (247 N·m). Bore is 3.43 in (87 mm) and stroke is 3.27 in (83 mm). In 300ZX form, it produced 160 hp (120 kW) and 173 lb·ft (235 N·m). On April 1987 the "W" series VG30 was released, adding 5 horsepower but leaving torque unchanged. In 1989, the Maxima received the 160 hp (120 kW) rating, but also used a variable intake plenum improving torque to 182 lb·ft (247 N·m) @3200 rpm.
