Hi, Up for auction is a meticulously kept, unmolested, fully documented time machine of a 1977 CJ7 V8 with only 3 owners that was garage kept and always a California vehicle with professional maintained with uncommon care. This is a Jeep to take to shows with far less wear than a vehicle of this age should have. It is also up for daily driver duty with the expectations that go with a piece of 70's Americana...but please respect the equipment. It would be an automotive sin to cut up or abuse this Jeep. I know it has less miles than shown as it was factory equipped with a draw bar and towed for much of its life which adds miles to the odometer but not wear to the Jeep It comes with the original window sticker AND 1/2" of professional repair, warranty and part maintenance receipts from when it was new up thru today. It runs, drives, starts, stops, and does everything better than a 34 year old vehicle should. All gauges, lights etc etc work as they should. I have owned hundreds of CJs and this one drives and shifts as close to what a new one would have. It has originality that cannot be replicated by a restoration yet still feels new. This Jeep is unlike any I have ever seen with the rare options and impeccable condition after 34 years of existence. It comes with the original Dealer Invoice showing the sale price of $6864.00 from San Francisco and listing each rare option which include but are not limited to: Autumn Red Metallic Paint (Very rare color) The paint is very nice with less than expected wear on it. It is a 60/40 split with the passenger side being the 40 and flipping forward while the driver's 60% slides! It has been re-upholstered with high quality era correct material and shows very little wear. I cannot begin to express how neat it makes this Jeep feel as you drive it! (Price on the window sticker is $33.00) Original 304 V8 Engine (price on the window sticker is ($67.00) 1977 was the first year for power disc brakes on a CJ and this one has it! (62.00) Tilt Steering ($68.00) Power Steering ($166.00) Draw Bar (tow bar) which means the Jeep has less miles than shown from being towed which explains the condition since the miles seem to be far less than shown ($33.00) Extra duty suspension (Still original springs as this Jeep has not been hacked up and lifted) $63.00 Trac Loc Rear Differential ($77.00) Hardtop Enclosure with Doors ($525.00) Removable Carpet Front and Rear ($69.00) and I can't explain whay it is original and looks like new AS DO THE FLOORS! As nice as I have ever seen! Wheel Covers (hubcaps) which the Jeep still comes with as shownand they are in excellent condition! H78x15 Polyester Highway tires The rear tire is original and not cracked or junk looking and still holds air. It has been covered all these years! :) The floors in this Jeep are as nice as I have ever seen. It was obviously in a dry climate and stored inside for much of its life. The Jeep was owned by 3 acquaintances in upscale areas of Ca i(like Lake Tahoe) and professionally maintained throughout it's life and the stack of receipts is over 1/2" thick andsome of the bigger repairs that are relevant to it's current operation are but not limited to: Rebuilt transmission @ 119k Miles New clutch, pressure plate 119k Miles New Exhaust @ 133k Miles Upper Valve Seals on the engine @ 78k Miles Rebuild the differential @ 121k Miles Reman Carb Re-Core the Radiator (they didn't throw away the good original one, they rebuilt it!) Fan clutch repair A quick summation of the maintenance done to this Jeep adds up to over $11000.00. If this Jeep needed something, they did it and they didn't do it themselves with leftover parts form something else. Even the wheels are era correct purchase with only 2200 miles and each owner chose to keep them. Currently it has 4 very nice top of the line Michelin tires with nearly new tread on them. There are also receipts from warranty work done by the dealer. It is nearly impossible to put a price on a Jeep like this as it is worth what you and perhaps the next person are willing to pay as there is nothing like it to compare it o based on the impeccable care and maintenance records with the irreplacable window sticker verifying the rare options. I wish I had the space and capital to keep it forever but that isn't how this works for me right now so here is your chance to own it.
