Vehicle Detail
ok a little about the car... i bought the car in Jacksonville NC from a Marine off of ebay, he was headed back to iraq and could not ship the car back to his home in ohio. i still have all off the print outs from our ebay transaction. i have the title but it was signed and notarized in his name but he never sent it off. He said in ohio you could get the title on the same day but in nc you had to wait for it to be sent back to you and he did not have enough time. he found that out the day we went to pick up the car. so he lowered the price and we went to a bank and got a notorized bill off sale from him to me. i have that bill of sale and title in my hand. now with the body... it is a little rough in spots but overall not bad. there are three spots where the rust needs to be fixed one under the battery tray, one on the left trunk hinge and one at the very bottom of the fender where it bolds to the car. other than that there isnt any. the rocker panels are good and the 1/4s are good. also on the body the front clip is off a 79 Trans Am (smokey and the Bandit) it has the shaker hooh and vented fenders. now the interior... the interior isnt great i will throw that out there not bad but not great (its about what you would expect for 30 year old car) i do have alot of extra parts (including a center console with an 8-track player) the shifter was replaced with a joystick out of a US Marines Cobra helicopter. now the wiring... well that is the worst part of the car... the the wiring harness was stripped out of the car and replaced withe a summit racing wiring harness... however it wouldve been nice if whoever attempted to wire it had some clue to what they were doing. I do have a used factory wiring harness that i bought off of ebay but never installed. the 403 engine... it does run. the rear main seal does leak. i dont know much about it and a rebuild kit is pretty cheap so i was just going to rebuild it. it has a two barrel 500 carb on it right now which does not go with the car because it came off my race car but i will leave it on long enough for you to hear it run. the carb that came on the car when i bought it needs to be rebuilt and is in the trunk. i think the tranny needs to be rebuilt but i have only driven the car down the driveway. extras... i have lots of extras that i have gotten since i bought the car (look at photos) i love this car and wish i had the time and money to fix it. but with a baby due in August and no garage to keep it in i need to sell.
