1971 Chevy Blazer 4x4, A/C, Frame off resto! Gorgeous! You finally found it! The Blazer you've always wanted is right here. This is the real deal. We bought this Blazer from one of our customers that had lost his job and he ran out of money. He spent the last five years and nearly $30,000 restoring it, and sadly fell on hard times. It was built with the intentions to show, drive and keep it forever. The Blazer went through a complete restoration, including body off, completely taking everything down to bare metal and repainting. Drivetrain and chassis: 350 small block Turbo 350 Power Steering Power Brakes All new bushings were installed. All new suspension was installed. Every last nut and bolt was replaced with new. You can lay under this rig, and just stare at all the newness, its like being under a brand new truck. The engine is a period correct block, but with the original heads from the Blazer. It was completely rebuilt using all stock specifications to keep it mild and reliable, with the exception of a new Edelbrock RV cam. Every accessory was replaced with new, or completely rebuilt, i.e. alternator, water pump, radiator, power steering, brake booster, etc... New carburetor. The transmission is a Turbo 350 , newly rebuilt with a mild shift kit. The driveshafts are brand new front and rear. The axles were completely rebuilt using all new components and seals. Although a '71 this model does have factory front Disc Brakes. Suspension is all new, with brand new shocks, zero miles. Brand new exhaust all the way back, with Flowmaster mufflers. Nothing was left undone in the drivetrain and chassis, all new or rebuilt. Body and Paint: With same integrity of the chassis rebuild, the builder also put in to the body and paint. Started off with a relatively rust free body. Completely stripped down to metal, and spent hundreds of hours getting the body nice and straight, albeit straighter then it came off the floor in 1971. He didn't stop at the exterior body. The engine compartment is all gloss painted to match. The complete underside of the body is painted. The best part, is the whole removable top was sanded down smooth, and painted to match the rig. This takes countless hours and dedication to achieve. With of course all new seals installed. Tailgate opens and closes perfectly. New bumpers. Many new exterior accessories, for example mirrors, door handles... Driver and passenger door open and close perfectly. All windows function properly and look great. Brand new windshield. Brand new Billet grille and front grille trim. New headlights and tail lights. The paint is a beautiful gloss black and clear coated, with a nice job of polishing. This rig would take 1st place in the truck/suv class at any major car show around here. *Note: In the pics, the upper door moldings are missing, if you look closely. We were waiting on their arrival, and took the pictures hastily. They have since been installed, with brand new molding throughout the rig. Interior: Stunning! All of the seats have been professionally rebuilt and recovered using a soft grey fabric. Custom carpet, custom door panels, and even nicely finished side inner quarter panels that really make the interior feel soft and inviting. All new hardware throughout. Seats fold forward and function properly. Tilt wheel. Custom steering wheel. Needs a radio. The dash is all beautiful matching gloss black paint, and a factory replacement stereo would look great in it. Visors are all new. Just installed, a few weeks ago, a custom Vintage Chevy hidden tow hitch. It is mounted so the receiver is behind the license plate. The license plate is hinged to flip up to access it. It has all modern wiring with 7 way round and 4 way flat. It has never been used for towing. BFG 32 x 11.50 x 15, tires all around, including the spare, not pictures, but is included. Rally wheels. 4WD works great. Drivability: In one word. Unbelievable! I have built and owned many 67-72 Chevy trucks and Blazers, and none compare to this Blazer. From little things like, smooth and easy steering and nice brake feel, to how unbelievable this rig drives down the road. It has no rattles, no vibrations, no clunks, no noises whatsoever while cruising at any speed. It's not even bouncy like most are. It is truly an amazing driving Blazer, and I consider myself very picky. I wouldn't hesitate to let my wife and kids drive this rig as an every day driver. What's not done: Although this is an A/C cab, the compressor has not been reinstalled yet. It was one of the last items on the list to be completed, and he simply ran out of money. The passenger side door does not unlock with the key. It does not have a radio. Might be other small items need addressing, but in the big picture, they would hardly be deal killers. Conclusion: It cold starts immediately. Fires right up, runs and idles perfect. goes in to gear smoothly, accelerates great, runs great drives great, looks amazing. And when I took it out for pictures, I stopped at the gas station for fuel, and was immediately approached by random people asking questions, commenting how nice it is, and so on!
