I THINK AFTER READING IT, YOU WILL AGREE IT WAS BENEFICIAL AND IT WILL HELP YOUR CONFIDENCE AND TRUST ABOUT THE CONDITION AND QUALITY OF THE MOTORCYCLE. I AM STARTING THIS WAY SINCE TRUST IS THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR WHEN IT COMES TO EBAY. UNFORTUNATELY, IT SEEMS EVERYONE IS TRYING TO TAKE SOMEONE FOR SOMETHING TODAY. I HAVE BEEN TAKEN BEFORE AND I DO NOT LIKE IT. I AM SURE NONE OF YOU LIKE IT EITHER! I DO NOT WANT TO EARN MONEY DISHONESTLY. I WANT YOU TO BE EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE WITH ME AND SEE MY INTEGRITY. THESE BIKES BRING GOOD, HARD EARNED MONEY, AND I DO NOT WANT ANYBODY TO BE MISLED ABOUT ANYTHING. I WORK WITH A FRIEND’S BUSINESS CALLED DJ’S CYCLES, SO I CAN SELL MORE THAN JUST A COUPLE OF MOTORCYCLES PER YEAR, AND I AM LEGALLY LICENSED TO SELL VEHICLES IN THE STATE OF WISCONSIN. I SOLD SOME EXCELLENT GL1500 GOLDWINGS LAST YEAR AND EACH BUYER WAS VERY HAPPY. UNLIKE MOST OTHER DEALERSHIPS ON EBAY, I DO NOT CHARGE ANY EXTRA HIDDEN FEES FOR PAPERWORK PROCESSING. MY FRIEND HAS BEEN A MOTORCYCLE MECHANIC FOR MORE THAN 40 YEARS, SO HE IS EXCELLENT AT WORKING ON MOTORCYCLES AND IS VERY KNOWLEDGABLE. HE GOT HIS DEALERSHIP LICENSE FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO SELL SOMETHING IF THEY NEED TO. OTHER THAN THE MOTORCYCLES I SELL THROUGH THE DEALERSHIP , THERE ARE PROBABLY ONLY THREE OR FOUR OTHER VEHICLES SOLD PER YEAR. I EXPLAIN THIS BECAUSE I WOULD LIKE YOU TO UNDERSTAND THIS IS NOT A LARGE DEALERSHIP PUSHING BIKES, THAT ARE MADE TO LOOK PRETTY, IN AND OUT OF THE DOORS. I AM A DEGREED MECHANICAL ENGINEER WHO IS EXTREMELY FUSSY AND PERFECTIONISTIC. THE BIKES I SELL ARE NOT ONES BROUGHT TO ME BY LOCAL PEOPLE. I SPEND HOURS A DAY SEARCHING ALL OVER THE COUNTRY FOR EXTREMELY NICE LOW MILEAGE BIKES THAT I COULD FEEL COMFORTABLE OWNING AND DRIVING. IF THERE IS ANY QUESTION AT ALL ABOUT THE CONDITION OF A BIKE, I WILL PASS AND LET SOMEONE ELSE BUY THEM. ALMOST ALL THE BIKES I BUY ARE FROM OLDER RETIRED FELLOWS, WHO TOOK FANTASTIC CARE OF THEIR BIKES, AND JUST CANNOT RIDE ANYMORE DUE TO HEALTH. BASICALLY, I USE THE SAME GUIDELINES ANY OF US WOULD USE TO FIND AN OUTSTANDING MOTORCYCLE. TO ADD TO YOUR CONFIDENCE, I USUALLY FLY OUT TO THE BIKE AND DRIVE IT HOME. THIS CAN SHOW YOU A LITTLE OF THE CONFIDENCE I HAVE IN THESE BIKES. BELIEVE ME, I DO NOT WANT TO BE STRANDED ANYWHERE. I SELL MOTORCYLES TO HELP SUPPORT MY WIFE AND FIVE CHILDREN. IT WAS SET UP SPECIFICALLY FOR LONG DISTANCE RIDING AND REALLY HAS SOME NEAT OPTIONS. THIS ONE IS A GORGEOUS 1997 FOREST GREEN ASPENCADE GOLDWING, WITH REVERSE, THAT WAS METICUOUSLY CARED FOR. THIS BEAUTIFUL MOTORCYCLE HAS LOW MILEAGE AND IT IS A TWO OWNER BIKE. AFTER TALKING WITH THE PREVIOUS OWNER OF THIS BIKE, I KNEW THIS WAS A QUALITY MOTORCYCLE. WHEN YOU RIDE IT – IT FEELS VERY SOLID AND RESPONSIVE. HE HAD TAKEN EXCELLENT CARE OF THE MOTORCYCLE. HE HAD ALWAYS KEPT IT IN HIS GARAGE. THE ONLY REASON HE WAS SELLING IT WAS DUE TO HEALTH. THE BIKE IS FANTASTIC. IT HAS THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN EXTRAS AND CHROME. THE PAINT IS BEAUTIFUL AND I HOPE YOU CAN SEE THE FINISH IN THE PICTURES. I TRY VERY HARD TO TAKE GOOD PICTURES. THERE IS QUITE A BIT OF CHROME AND THIS REFLECTS SUN IN THE PICTURES, SO DO NOT THINK THE REFLECTIONS ARE BLEMISHES. THERE ARE NO OIL LEAKS. THE BIKE COMES STOCK WITH REVERSE AND ABOUT EVERYTHING ELSE YOU CAN IMAGINE - AND MAYBE MORE. THE COOLEST OPTION IS THE TIRE SENSING SYSTEM CALLED SMARTTIRE. THE RIMS WERE POWDER COATED AND SENSORS IMBEDDED IN THEM TO RELAY TIRE PRESSURE TO THE ON DASH DISPLAY. THIS THING IS AWESOME. IT TELLS YOU IF THEY ARE OVER INFLATED OR UNDERINFLATED AND BY HOW MANY PSI. THE AUDIO SYSTEM IS VERY EXPENSIVE AND UPGRADED TO POLK SPEAKERS FRONT AND REAR WITH A FADER KNOB UP FRONT. HE ALSO INSTALLED A 400 WATT AMPLIFIER AND A SUBWOOFER IN THE TRUNK. THE RADIO SOUNDS EXCELLENT AS WOULD BE EXPECTED. A SEPARATE PASSENGER VOLUME CONTROL WAS ADDED, SO IF THE PASSENGER WANTED THE VOLUME LESS OR MORE IN THE BACK SHE COULD CONTROL IT. THE BIKE IS WIRED FOR ELECTRIC CLOTHES. THERE IS A 12 VOLT POWER ADAPTER INSTALLED. IT HAS TWO SETS OF FLOOD LIGHTS UP FRONT (THREE IF YOU INCLUDE THE STOCK SET). WITH THESE LIGHTS YOU CAN SEE ANYTHING COMING. THE FRONT HEADLIGHT WAS UPGRADED TO THE 2000 MODEL HEADLIGHT AND REALLY THROWS THE LIGHT. THE FRONT HEADLIGHT ALSO HAS THE STROBE FLASHING OPTION, SO DURING THE DAY ON LOW BEAMS THE HEADLIGHT PULSES AND YOU ARE MUCH MORE NOTICEABLE WHEN COMING UP BEHIND SOMEONE. THE MAN ALSO INSTALLED LED LIGHTS FRONT AND BACK AND REPLACED THE REFLECTORS IN THE BAGS WITH LIGHTS, SO AT NIGHT WITH THESE LIGHTS AND THE FLOOD LIGHTS THIS BIKE IS UNBELIEVABLY VISIBLE. THE SIDE LED LIGHTS BLINK WITH YOUR DIRECTIONALS. FOR ALL THESE LIGHTS HE INSTALLED A COMPUFIRE 90 AMP ALTERNATER. THERE IS A NICE VOLTAGE GAGE ON THE DASH WITH LIGHTS SO YOU CAN SEE IF THE SYSTEM IS CHARGING. BESIDES BEING VISIBLE, AN AIR HORN WAS ADDED SO YOU COULD ALSO BE HEARD BY ANYONE. THE BIKE HAS A FULL SKID PLATE UNDER THE ENGINE WHICH IS GREAT PROTECTION FROM ROCKS ON THE ROAD. A POWER BACK UP STAND WAS ADDED SO ALL YOU HAVE TO DO TO GET IT ON THE CENTER STAND IS TO PUSH THE STAND DOWN WITH YOUR FOOT AND PUT IT IN REVERSE AND BACK UP. THE BIKE GOES RIGHT UP ON THE STAND WITHOUT YOU GETTING OFF OR HURTING YOUR BACK. YOU CAN ALSO PUT THE BIKE UP ON THE STAND MANUALLY IF YOU LIKE. TWO VERY NICE ADD ONS OF THE BIKE ARE THE ADJUSTABLE DRIVER’S BACKREST AND THE PASSENGER ARMRESTS. THE BACKREST IS VERY NICE FOR LOWER BACK SUPPORT ON LONG TRIPS AND THE ARMRESTS ARE GREAT FOR YOUR WIFE SO SHE CAN RELAX AND NOT HAVE TO HOLD HER ARMS UP ON HER LAP. THERE IS ALSO A CUP HOLDER ON THE ARM RESTS. WIND WINGS WERE ADDED TO DIVERT COOL AIR TO YOU ON HOT DAYS AND TO KEEP COLD AIR FROM YOU ON CHILLY DAYS. THE DASH IS DONE IN A VERY SHARP BURL WOOD ACCENT AND LOOKS VERY HIGH END. AS YOU CAN SEE, THE BIKE HAS SOME VERY NICE AFTER MARKET CHROME ACCENTS. THESE REALLY MAKE A NICE CONTRAST WITH THE FOREST GREEN PAINT. THE TRUNK LUGGAGE RACK IS VERY EXPENSIVE AND THE ALUMINUM FLAG HOLDERS ON THE RACK WERE $60 A PIECE. IT HAS KURYAKAN DRIVER FOOT BOARDS. THERE IS A CHROME TRUNK HANDLE, FRONT MUD FLAP, AND EAGLE CLUTCH AND BRAKE HYDRAULIC RESERVOIR COVERS. THE BIKE’S WINDSHIELD IS UPGRADED WITH THE VENT AND VERY CLEAR. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO FADING OF PAINT, WARPING OF DASH PLASTIC, AND THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER PLASTIC IS PERFECTLY CLEAR. THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD A COLOR MATCHED REAR TRUNK SPOILER, WITH BRAKE LIGHT, ADDED. THE WHOLE BIKE LOOKS GREAT AND YOU ARE VERY VISIBLE AT NIGHT. THE INTERCOM ON GOLDWINGS ARE INTEGRATED INTO THE RADIO SOUND SYSTEM. THE INTERCOM, WHICH IS VOICE ACTIVATED, IS GREAT FOR THE DRIVER TO TALK BACK AND FORTH WITH THE PASSENGER, AND WHEN YOU STOP TALKING YOU AGAIN HEAR THE RADIO THROUGH YOUR HELMET SPEAKERS. WITH THE PUSH OF A BUTTON (LOCATED ON THE RADIO), YOU CAN LISTEN TO THE RADIO THROUGH THE SPEAKERS ON THE BIKE. ON THE GOLDWING, THE RADIO VOLUME LESSENS AS THE BIKE SLOWS DOWN. THIS IS NICE SO YOU DO NOT HAVE TO MANUALLY TURN DOWN THE RADIO WHEN YOU COME TO AN INTERSECTION. THE RADIO IS AN AM/FM CASSETTE. THE BIKE CAME FROM THE FACTORY WITH A 40 CHANNEL CB. A VERY NICE AD ON IS A PASSENGER PUSH TO TALK BUTTON FOR THE CB. THIS WAY YOUR WIFE CAN GET IN ON THE CONVERSATION WITH YOUR FRIENDS ON ANOTHER BIKE. THE BIKE ALSO COMES WITH FULL FUNCTION CRUISE CONTROL. IT ALSO HAS AN ONBOARD AIR COMPRESSOR. WHEN YOU PUSH THE R. PRESSURE BUTTON, YOU CAN ADJUST THE BIKE'S RIDE QUALITY BY CHANGING THE AIR PRESSURE IN THE REAR SUSPENSION. WITH THE OUTLET BUTTON PUSHED, YOU CAN USE THE AUXILLARY AIR HOSE, LOCATED IN THE RIGHT SADDLEBAG, TO PUMP UP TIRES OR THE FRONT AIR SUSPENSION. EXTREMELY NICE OPTION IF YOU SHOULD EVER GET A FLAT TIRE. ON A GOLDWING WHEN THE REAR BRAKE PEDAL IS DEPRESSED THE FRONT BRAKE IS PARTIALLY ENGAGED, ALSO. IF YOU WANT ONLY FRONT BRAKES THEN YOU USE THE HANDLE BAR LEVER. THE PAINT IS EXCELLENT WITH ONLY A LIGHT SCRATCH AND A FEW PAINT CHIPS ON TOP OF THE TRUNK, A FEW HARD TO NOTICE PAINT CHIPS ON THE RIGHT SADDLE BAG, AND A SCUFF ON THE RIGHT MIRROR WHERE IT BRUSHED SOMETHING. THESE ARE MINOR BUT I LIKE TO LET YOU KNOW. THE BIKE WAS ALWAYS REGULARLY MAINTAINED. HE LIKED HONDA FULL SYNTHETIC OIL. THE TIRES ARE AWESOME MICHELIN PILOT GT’S AND ONLY HAVE AROUND A THOUSAND MILES ON THEM. YOU WON’T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT TIRES FOR YEARS. BRAKES PADS ARE VERY GOOD.
