Vehicle Detail

This listing is for a 1963 Chevrolet Impala sport coupe that was built at the Atlanta, Georgia plant. The 197,924th car off the line; it was originally equipped with a V8 (FYI: approx. 399,224 Impala sport coupes were built in '63). I haven't decoded the trim tag yet so I am not certain of the original paint color or interior trim; as soon as I do I will update the listing. Right now, it appears to have been repainted something similar to a Corona Cream (a '62 color); or a Goldenrod Yellow (a '64 color) with black, primered quarters. Interior wise, up front, there is a correct blue cloth & vinyl bench seat (842). In back, there is a white (845 or 878) backseat out of a '64 SS (Super Sport). It wouldn't take much to restore this car to it's former glory & appears a previous owner had started to work on it. In addition to the off-year paint & '64 SS backseat, the quarters have been replaced & there's a reproduction trunk pan in the back, albeit this work appears to have been done a while back & somewhat half-assed so I would probably redo the quarters anyway. The tub, fenders, hood & trunk are solid and buildable. Original, heavy bumpers are in great shape & ready for rechroming. Most trim & emblems need to be refurbished or replaced. All glass is there & intact. Obviously, the interior needs to be totally redone, but the appropriate seats are there for recovering & the dash is in great shape. The car has a nice, straight X-frame & it doesn't appear to have ever been "lowridered." Engine bay is exceptionally clean & ready to accommodate the V8 of your choice. I have several 283's & even a few 350's with compatible trannys I could sell you so you could have something to start with. Clear title, last titled in 1970, is included of course. Actually, when we acquired the car, the title was sitting on the package tray. I have no clue how long it was there, but it appears to have suffered either some sun or possibly moth damage at the creases. Luckily, none of the text has been marred by this damage & is still valid. All things considered, this is a very solid project car. Would be great for a father & son or best buddy summer build. No engine means you can build it how you want: 409, 327, stroker, crate engine, etc. Make great restoration, Super Sport 409 clone, custom rod, rat rod or lowrider. Again, since this is a non-running car, it'll have to be transported. Transport of vehicle winning bidder's responsibility; but I do understand if you can't pick it up right away. MAY be able to work something out within the Carolinas for a small fee. I also have just about everything you need in stock to complete this car in our actual, physical restoration shop in Albemarle, North Carolina; about 50 miles North East of Charlotte. At Russell's Impala Parts we have been restoring & selling parts for 1958, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963 & 1964 Chevrolet Impalas, Bel Airs & Biscaynes and ONLY those cars for 30+ years! Have NOS, original & reproduction parts in stock; several parts cars in back!Call me, Ray @ (704)254-7672, Twitter: @DarthKthulhu, eMail: darthcthulhu@me.com or message me here with any questions about this '63, parts, or anything else. Thanks for reading my long-winded listing, I love these cars & want you to love them too so I try to be as upfront as I can on the history & condition of our cars & have sold everything from a restored '63 SS 409/425 convertible to rough '64 9-passenger wagon on eBay with no complaints & 100% feedback. Small PayPal deposit required in 3 days of auction close refundable if you find my listing to be erroneous in any way upon inspection of the car. Thanks again & happy bidding!
