You are bidding on a 1956 Chrysler Imperial 2 door Southampton. Possibly one of Chryslers finest automobiles with the combination of Luxury, styling, and Hemi power. The 1956 Southampton is a rare automoblie with production numbers listed at only 2094. Very few exist today and it is noted that Jay Leno owns 2 of these fine automobiles. This imperial has spent most of its 55 years in storage. The imperial is currently not running, I have not tried to start the car. It will need some restoration but the car is in remarkable shape for a vehicle of its age. The car is very complete and solid. It is believed that this imperial has not been in use since the late 60's. Whether you're an Imperial purest, or looking to make a 300 clone such as the one by Rad rods by Troy this is an excellent car to add to your collection. Description: Color: Exterior Black, Interior White Leather, (The best color combination in my opinion) Drivetrain: Engine: 354 Hemi V8 (280hp), (vehicle not currently running, condition unknown) Transmission: 2 speed Powerfilght. (vehicle not currently runing, condition unknown) Exterior: black paint, alot of the paint is believed to be origional. Passenger side of vehicle appears to have had some work and repaint. Some rust in quarters and rockers. Please see detailed pics. Interior: White leather interior, seats will need some cleaning/restoration (see pics), Dash pad is in near perfect condition, steering wheel is in very nice shape. The imperial was not ordered with air conditioning, but the auction will include a correct factory compressor and a/c unit. Rims/Tires: Origional Kelsey Hayes rims (including spare) and wide white wall tires. In my opinion this combination makes the car. (Tires are old and dry rotted but hold air. Rims have some pitting as can be seen in pictures. I have tried to describe the vehilcle as best as possible.
