Two three wheelers: 1986 restored to beautiful rider condition & 1985 almost complete for parts or restoration. NO RESERVE AUCTION 1986 Honda 350 X for sale. I bought as a project several months ago. It has taken a while to locate parts and make sure it is restored correctly or at least as close as I am able to determine. I took the approach of replacing anything that needed it but keeping as original as possible. I never understood why one would restore anything to an unusable condition, making something so perfect that you are afraid to use it. This magnificent machine is restored to ride. In the process of restoring, I took every bolt and nut and cleaned with a wire wheel and chased any thread that I touched and lubricated before the rebuild. Replaced: Seat cover and had professional shop install on seat frame. Right fork (old one was bent) with one in excellent condition Headlight and assembly was replaced with excellent unit from another machine Front master cylinder and a rebuild kit as well Rear caliper was rebuilt and new pads installed Front shock tube covers with new clamps as well New Handle bars and grips(have original one) Light and kill switch complete unit with one in excellent beautiful and functional condition Rear fender with new Maier fender Front fender with new Maier fender Pulled engine and shipped to (http://www.brennys.com/) and Mark went through completely and addressed any issues and he had to bore it to one over standard and basically rebuilt the engine and checked the transmission and everything to insure there are no issues. I highly recommend Mark and his shop. After I installed the engine in the frame, it started on the third kick and that is pretty amazing. New master link for chain and had adjusted Replaced rear tail light with one in excellent condition from another machine Had tank cleaned with rust remover and all dents removed and painted by local paint and body shop(beautiful job) New petcock and added inline filter to insure engine and carb are well protected New air cleaner Removed air box and all tubes and washed to help look great New decals (not sure what was factory original so I kept it simple) Tires appear to be OEM original and in decent shape with many hours of riding left on them. Has original tool box but is missing lid and has original pull bar I am sure there are things I am forgetting but basically I completely rebuilt this unit to be exceptional mechanical condition and look just as amazing as it performs. This machine is an absolute beast and extremely dangerous for anyone not familiar with 3 wheelers. Three wheelers are a totally different kind of ride as opposed to a four wheeler. I acquired another 350x at the very end of my project and am including a couple pics of it as well. It is almost complete and very restorable or just use as a parts source. It is a 1985 model and has been sitting outside for 3-4 years. The engine kicks over smoothly and the oil is very clean (a very good indication of it’s lack of wear). I was told that it was rebuilt and then parked because the machine was too much for the rider. The auction is for both units, yes, both units. One beautiful restored to rider condition that should provide years and years of riding pleasure and one almost complete machine for parts in the event you should need it.
