1993 Corvette LT1 Coupe with Removable Hardtop - White, Black Leather Interior, 6-Speed 1993 is still a popular year for Corvette enthusiasts - the company celebrated its 40th anniversary that year and produced a vehicle that was the culmination of the C4 line and the first vette to feature the LT1 engine, a 5.7L V8 boasting 300hp. Weighing in at 3300 lbs, it is one fast car. Ours is a very original, nicely optioned example. Finished in its factory white paint scheme and untouched black leather interior. Features a 6-speed manual trans, removable hardtop, passive keyless entry, alarm system, multiple stereo modulators, several trip monitoring features, power seats, windows, mirrors, and so on. Aesthetically, this vehicle has held up fairly well. Although some wear in the driver's seat is apparent, the dash, carpets, instrument panel, and most other aspects of the interior appear as new. The only exception is the center armrest, which is slightly raised. The paint job shows no signs of fading or spidering, although some small nicks and flaws can be found. The only change made to the vehicle's appearance was the recent purchase of a new plexiglass targa top. Powered by its 5.7L V-8 with a very true 90,010 miles; accompanied by a 6-speed manual transmission. Since the Fall of 2010, quite a bit of mechanical and electrical work has been done on the car. Put simply, the vehicle was inspected from head to toe and all issues were diagnosed. Now, 6 months and $5,500 later, she drives beautifully. Below is a list of much of the work done, though I'm happy to pass along copies of the ROs to any interested parties. We also ran the vehicle through CarFax, yielding a very clean and detailed report, showing prior owners, locations, mileage, and several repair orders. I'm happy to share copies of this as well. engine inspected, performed diagnosis all spark plugs replaced distributor assembly replaced water pump kit replaced ingition dissasembled ignition coil, heat sink, module, wires, and seals replaced replaced radiator hoses, clamps regular maintenance: fluids drained, tie rods, belt tensioner, new battery, etc inspected various electrical components sent to Gerhart Chevrolet for complete electrical diagnosis checked all fuses and relays, replaced if necessary various electrical issues worked out - turn signals, headlights, etc The only electrical issues that have been diagnosed but not solved are the faulty liquid dot matrix display (in need of replacement), which functions as the speedometer, odometer, and trip moniter, and the faulty window motor on the passenger's side (also in need of replacement). When the vehicle was first purchased the display was working and the odometer read about 92,000 miles. Shortly thereafter, the mileage was checked via computer, reading 92,010 mi. The CarFax report reflects this reading. Since then, no more than 50 miles have been put on the car. Mechanically, the vehicle has been thoroughly inspected and virtually all issues worked out. The only exception is an ABS light that came on only recently - it seems the front pads are slightly worn, though it's hard to tell from behind the wheel. Otherwise, the vehicle is very happy and drives wonderfully. All-in-all, a great driver that has already undergone a mechanical overhaul and is in need of only a few finishing touches.
