1966 Impala Super Sport. This car was purchased from the family that purchased it new. It is an original California car that has been in Oregon for the past 20 years. Odometer reads 40,000 miles and family believes this to be true. It is an original Madeira Maroon car with white interior. The car has been repainted and looks good No body rust anywhere. The body is straight and all the stainless trim is present and in good repair. All glass is original and the car has all four original T-3 headlights. The interior is original. I took all of it out for the restoration. The floors were very solid and dry. I took the seats apart and re-dyed the upholstery. New arm rest bases, dash pad, and carpet. I rechromed the dash bezel and refurbised the clock and put an exact match rebuilt speaker in the dash. Seat belts are original and cleaned up like new. The carpet was originally black. I went with the maroon. I think it sets off the interior nicely. Console was completely disassembled and painted. I replaced the brushed aluminum trim and the console lens. Rear window was removed and resealed using original type seal. No rust present when window was removed. Trunk was very nice. I just resprayed it and put in a new mat. I have the original jack and spare. Vehicle comes with Protecto-plate. Correct coded 327/275 horse motor. Powerglide transmission. Nicely detailed engine compartment with correct aluminum, rasied letter valve cover stickers (not cheap decals). The gorgeous white interior against the maroon paint is striking and unique. I replaced the sale panels and actually have another new set that come with the car. The car drives and tracks well. Tires are good treadwise, but are over 20 years old. This gives an idea of how minimally it has been driven. The dual exhaust is new from the head pipes back and I installed a new correct-style Quadrajet carburetor with auto divorded choke.
