Up for sale is a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am.......Original color, and mostly original Solar Gold paint with tan interior........... Headers, and Dual Exhaust, Original 4-speed Transmission, original rear end, Power Steering, Front Disc Brakes, Factory Tachometer,and Console...... Cowl tag shows that this car was a Solar Gold, Factory Air Car, with tan interior. All the AC components have been removed from under the hood...Power windows.....Rear window defogger..... **This is one of the rarest of all of the 1979 Trans Ams, as there were only 1530 of them produced from the factory with the 301, 4 speed combo, and t tops......**Couple this with the Solar Gold color, and almost all original components being there.....This is a perfect restoration candidate..... **This car is rusty......** Car has rust under the hood, in most of the quarters, under the doors, and in other areas.....BUT the trunk is not bad, and I think the floor pans are ok....Car came from Massachusetts, and will need a complete restoration....... This car has a nice, strong running 350, with a Rochester 4-Barrel Carburetor.....But I do have the 1979 correct Pontiac 301 motor, with all accessories including exhaust manifolds sitting on a pallet, ready to go....... Car is in nice restorable shape, not perfect by any means, but a very desirable, rare, and nice car to restore............ Car was pulled out of a barn outside of Boston, where it sat for a long time........I have replaced the Brake Booster, Master Cylinder, rear brake lines, shoes, and pads......... *Car runs, and drives........* I was planning on keeping, but my plans have changed......I have a 74 Trans Am that I will be restoring... This car is perfect for use as a daily driver, or a great one to restore, as the are very few issues of note...... This car runs and drives, sounds great. This 32 year old vehicle has normal door dings, scuffs, scratches and the paint is pretty wasted...A great driver, while putting work into...... The lights, wipers, heater, and etc. work.....
