1992 Daihatsu Rocky 4x4 up for auction with no Reserve. This Rocky is a solid driver. Everything works as it should - transfer case, lock out hubs, shifter, clutch, and lights. No mechanical issues. A strong and solid engine. I am the third owner of this Rocky (have carfax). The first owner purchased suv in Cal than moved to Chicago, Experian counts him twice. The older gentlemen that I purchased it from spoke very poor English and told me that the timing belt and water pump was replaced and he had some of the Rocky Rhino-lined (base of doors and front of hood). Please check the video for more detail. He said he did not have receipts of the work done. I have had this SUV for 10 months and it has never let me down, the snow here this winter was out of control, never an issue for this Rocky. These suv's are still sold all over the world except for the U.S.A. Check YouTube for many videos on these great little SUV's This motor does not smoke or burn oil (it has VERY MINIMAL drip).The body is very solid overall, a few small dings and scratches, yet for being nearly 20 years old it is in above average condition. The seats, dash and doorskins are perfect. The carpet and head liner is average. This is the work I have had done to the Rocky since I purchased it: tires, shocks, brakes, muffler and radiator (rebuild). Also had it tuned. Here is a list of things that I may get questions about: yes - some surface rust on undercarrige (looks like it was rust proofed at some point). It has spent some winters in Chicago. Front of hood rust spot fixed (can see some body filler under hood about 2 inches) - look to video for details. Rocky has AC, yet not working - I have never used it, just remove the tops and let the wind in. The Rocky has independent front suspension and a solid rear end. Daihatsu is a division of Toyota and you can tell. I have owned Jeeps,Trackers and Sami's, the Rocky gets 24 mpg and is the best of the SUV's I have owned - fun and reliable. Bumps on the black section of the doors and rocker panels is not rust it is the grit from the Rhino liner, also many ?'s on parts- you can get on ebay or local parts store if needed (not likely) the last few Rockys on ebay sold for around $4000 - this one is a steal at my no reserve price.
