1999 FIREBIRD TRANS AM FIREHAWK T-TOP SLP/ LS1/ 6 SPEED This is a 1999 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am FIREHAWK SLP. It is #082 of the 719 SLP Firebird cars produced in 1999. It has the LS1 engine and a 6 speed transmission. It is bright red with gray interior. The car has leather interior and all Trans Am power options including drivers seat and Monsoon AM/FM/Cass. with 6 disc CD. This is a T-Top car and has SLP Firehawk chrome wheels in excellent condition with like new Sumitomo tires. It has 89,837 miles and has had 3 previous owners. It was purchased new in Columbus, Ga. at Jay Pontiac in Feb. of 1999. The original owner kept the car till he traded it in at Bill Heard Chevrolet in Columbus, Ga. in Jan. 2007 with 74,950 miles. The second owner kept the car till Nov. 2009 and the 3rd owner has had it since then. The paint is in excellent condition and the car runs and drives great. The interior has a few minor flaws. The window motors were changed under warranty and at that time one of the door panels was cracked at the top. This seems to be a common problem with these cars. The dealer repaired the panel and covered the repair with a color matched vinyl or leather strap. I have included a picture. I have no way of knowing if it was the drivers side or passenger side or both. I am not taking the door panels off to find out. The repair looks fine and seems to be done professionally but it is not factory. There is a small crack in the dash between the radio/HVAC center cluster and the passenger airbag and the seats have a small area on the seat back where the threads have come loose. These 2 problems also seem to be common problems on Firebirds. Other than these mentioned problems the car is excellent. It will come with the SLP Birth Certificate. And all the paperwork that I received with it. The car does not have the car cover or SLP floor mats even though it did come with these options. It does have standard factory mats in it. The car is clean inside and out. The car appears to be stock and original with no mechanical issues at all. This car is for sale by a registered Ga. Used car dealer therefor Ga. They have verified that this is a real SLP Firehawk. In 1999 SLP made 719 Firehawks. This car is number 082 of those cars. This car is 1 of the 538 Firehawk Trans Am T-Tops produced. Of those 538 Firehawk Trans Am T-Tops only 127 were Bright Red. Of those 127 Bright Red cars only 66 were 6 speed cars. Of those 66 cars that were 6 speed cars only 30 had the Bilstein Suspension and only 24 had the Auburn Differential. With all this said it makes this car only 1 of 24 cars built this way. Again, these are SLP numbers and the car is what it is. It was brought to my attention that I was calling this car a Formula when it actually is a Trans Am. My bad, and I do apologize for any misunderstanding. I canceled the auction and have redone the ad to reflect the Trans Am information with the Correct SLP numbers.
