Hello, Up for auction today is a 1983 toyota pickup SR5. This is an awesome truck. I will go thru the list. Body: Great condition for its age. Only has two tiny dings hardly noticable. The paint is in good shape for its age. It is the original paint. You can see the out line slightly of the original decals. very slight. The were removed by the original owner. All fenders,doors, are original. The rear bumper is after market. This truck has the chrome package, which means chrome grill, wheels, front bumper, and side mirrors. all in all great body. Engine: runs great, sounds great, and no issues. Absolutely no oil leaks. Original engine So it only has 110,000 original miles. Transmission: 5 speed. Shifts great and smooth. no leaks Interior: Really nice interior. The original seat was missing when I got it. This seat is out of a newer Tacoma. Fits great. The rest of the interior is original and looks awesome. The dash has one little crack in it but you cant see it. It is on the back side of the dash. Carpet is old but still functional. Could use carpet someday. Brakes: Brakes work really well. No problems no stopping issues. Steering: Steering is great. Tracks down the road perfect. No shimmys, what can I say. This thing drives like a new truck. General:This truck was a farm truck. The original owner used the truck to haul his weed sprayer trailer thru the fields.He also used it to run into town and back. He had overload springs added to the rear. I also has a custom hitch. There is no rust at all on the truck. There may be some surface rust but nothing with holes in it. All of the gauges work. The 4wd works perfectly. This truck is as sound as it was in 1983. Conclusion: If you are looking for a 1st gen toyota that is in excellent condition, then this is your truck. It only has 110,000 original miles. I dont think you will find to many of these trucks out there with this low of milage and in this condition.
