1997 Audi Cabriolet Black/Tan Convertible 117k Miles Up for bid is a beautiful 1997 Audi Cabriolet black convertible with only 117,842 miles on it. This is an excellent summer-time vehicle. This Audi was one of our daily drivers, but it is time to cut it loose. It has been a fun car to drive. We know that it takes some level of trust to purchase a vehicle online, and while the vehicle is sold as-is, we have tried to accurately describe the vehicle's condition to the best of our knowledge. We have temporarily repaired this with some black tape. It will probably need to be replaced soon.The driver side door has a noticeable dent that was caused by someone backing up into a stationary pole while the door was open. It does not affect the function of the door opening and closing... Just a small cosmetic issue. (See photos for details)The leather seats were in poor shape when when we purchased the vehicle. The driver's seat has a worn area. The passenger seat has a minor wear spot and a small tear in the leather. (See photos for details)Overall, the interior is a little rough. It was this way when we purchased the vehicle.The back bumper was a large scratch near the middle. (See photos for details)The stereo stopped working, so we removed it. Thus, the vehicle does not come with a stereo. The speakers remain.The antenna was broken when we purchased the vehicle. (See photos)The gear selector plastic guider piece has a crack in it. You will not be able to see it very well in the photos. It still is fully functional.The back seats have slight discoloration in areas because of moisture (see photos).The cover area for the convertible top has a split along the seam approximately 3-4 inches (see photos).The convertible top light on the dash blinks even though there is nothing wrong with the top. The top is fully functional.While the A/C works, the cabin air filter needs to be replaced. Currently, the air smells a bit odd when it is first turned on.There is a spare tire in the trunk, but it is shredded and needs to be replaced.The check engine light comes on and throws a P0740 code (We have cleared this code for now, but it will eventually come back).Minor scratches and dings on the exterior as would be expect with a car of this age (I tried to show some of these in the photos). The vehicle has a clear title and is ready to be signed over to the winning bidder. Despite our attempt to be as accurate as possible in our description and photos, the vehicle is sold as-is without a warranty given nor implied. Based on previous experience, no bid from outside the United States will be accepted. A deposit of $500 is due via PayPal within 24 hours of the auction end. Failure to make a deposit within 24 hours will result in the bidder being reported to eBay, filing a non-paying bidder report, and leaving negative feedback. The remaining balance is due within 7 days of auction end. The winning bidder is responsible for picking up the car in Nashville, Tennessee or arranging shipping. The car must be picked up within 7 days of auction end and will only be released if the remaining balance has been paid in full and cleared.
