I am selling a few vehicles for a close friend of mine who has taken on other interest and would like to thin his collection. I have personally maintained this vehicle and can answer any and all questions. This is a REAL 1969 Ford Talladega, which my friend bought from me years ago. The original color Code is "B" (Royal Maroon) and has a very clean body and structure (no rot). The interior is stock and in fine condition. The trim is nice with minimal wear for its age. Years ago the block froze and had a poor repair, but ran good. After a while the engine broke an intake valve off which destroyed the block and head. We located a very nice +.030 428 Cobra Jet block, assembled it with the "1U" CJ crank, H-Beam rods, forged TRW pistons and had the assembly balanced. Since the head was destroyed we opted for Edelbrock aluminum heads and corresponding intake manifold. A healthy hydraulic roller cam, adjustable valvetrain and FRPP TRI-Y headers were added along with an aluminum water pump and electronic ignition conversion. We also installed a "Detroit Locker" unit in the rearend to try and control the new found power. It is still equipped with the original oil cooler. The car runs and drives fantastic. It is happy running on premium pump fuel and is just a blast to drive. The car appears stock from the outside but performs well above Cobra Jet standards!
