Vehicle Detail
1985 BMW 635CSI. This is not an M. These were only sold in 1988-1989. But it is the 3.5 motor, rather than the earlier 3.3. The M badges were added by the previous owner. Absolutely stunning vehicle. No known issues. 73,780 Original miles. Original Paint. Original motor and 5-speed transmission. No body work. Runs great. No leaks, shimmies or surprises. Stunning Exterior. Stunning Interior. Runs perfectly. Not cleaned for photos! This is the car without a wash in over two weeks! But will be cleaned fully before shipment! I have been asked for more pictures. The link has a total of 60. http://s1229.photobucket.com/albums/ee462/treyset/1985%20BMW%20635CSI/?start=all Black on black with Euro Kit. The paint is beautiful. Deep shine though-out. No oxidation on any panels. It is original, no previous body or paint work. It is as close to perfect as you could ever hope for on a 26-year old car driven 3K miles per year. Stunning! The few very small rock chips are mostly touched-up and not noticeable. Gleeming finish. Black Recaro seats, front and back, are also in near perfect condition with only the slightest signs of wear on the front seat bottoms and the driver's bolster with slight wear. Almost new. OdometerCheckYour vehicle checks out under 75K Original Miles (74,607 at time of listing). While an error was made on an earlier smog test in 1997 where mileage is typed into a report incorrectly (probably inverted numbers), the mileage is verified as accurate by AurtoCheck and is on file with the state of CA as actual mileage. Passes CA smog. Drives perfectly. The 5-speed manual transmission is tight, shifts perfectly. Handling is spectacular. I live on a wonderful road in an Oak Forest and this car was built for my road! The motor is awesome. No leaks, no oil usage, no seeps overnight on the ground. The engine compartment is perfectly clean and not with a recent wash. It has been clean since new. (Standard 635CSI motor. M-badges were added to exterior. M-Model was not available for 1985) 17 inch very desirable Style-5 wheels with Excellent Michelin Pilot Sport 235/45ZR/17 tires. Rims worth $2,000 alone. Front caps were off for picture but will be back on when the vehicle ships. (They were left at the garage!) I spent a small fortune on the wheels and completely restoring the AC (at a cost of nearly $2,000) which blows perfectly cold. After purchase I will take it into the worlds best BMW mechanics, KB Motorsport, in San Marcos CA and have it checked out, any and all necessary repairs to be made. You may speak with Kip who maintains all my cars. I believe this to be one of the finest examples anywhere. I simply have too many vehicles and am retiring soon. I need to consolidate. Small issues. 1) It has a dash cap, which you would not even notice, molded perfectly, that covers several cracks in the original dash. I would have replaced the dash, if I could have found one, but the cap looks perfect. You could drive the car and not know the dash is covered. 2) While pictures do not show it, the plastic/fiberglass Euro kit is wavy. The kit can be kept, replaced or removed. Original panels are underneath and excellent. 3) The radio is a replacement XM ready (I do not have an XM account and have not tried it) but it does works on FM and to play a single CD. 4) The driver door seal has a slight crack. It is fully functional but original and you might want to replace it at some point). 5) The M steering wheel has some aging on the top. (Again, this is a 635CSI, not an M-model, which were sold only in 1988-1989, however BMW does sell M Steering Wheels on non-M models even today) A $200 deposit is required upon purchase. The balance cannot be paid via paypal, but must be via cash or certified funds.
