It was the perfect candidate for a full face lift which began in August of that same year. There were no corners cut on this car and it was completed in early 2008. Having just finished an updating it is ready to go. UPDATED The engine is fresh, the transmission renewed, and the differential was rebuilt. The clutch is new as is the exhaust. The paint is a beautiful original Chevelle color Danube Blue base/clear professionally applied and is flawless. The interior is very nice, comfortable, and fully functional. Dash pad is perfect as are the door panels, seats, and all trim. It also has all new weatherstrips and window felt. All lights and signaling devices work including the horn and turn signals. The speedometer and fuel gauge work as do the dash lights and the wipers. All glass is original except for a new windshield. Windows roll easily with no problems. This car cruises down the road straight and true and stops the same way. It runs and drives 100%. The engine fires first time every time with just a touch of the key and settles into a nasty thumpy big block idle. It has no noises or problems. It has no fluid leaks of any kind. It carries great oil pressure, 60 psi hot idle, and never runs over 185-190 degrees no mater the weather. It has an abundance of raw tire melting power as expected from a well equipped well built big block. The trans shifts perfectly with no noises or gear clash. The clutch is smooth and sure. When renewing the differential the rear lower control arms were replaced with adjustable type that greatly improved traction. Tires are brand new 205-60x15 & 225-70x15. The 7 & 8 inch Rally wheels are also new. WHAT'S NOT PERFECT or WHAT DOES IT NEED??? Car is exactly as described, nicely detailed, and doesn't need anything. There are a few minor nit-pick items that are not perfect and could be addressed if desired. 1. The radio (Craig am fm cassette) has no speaker. 2. The chrome and stainless is very good but there are 3 very small screws in the rear window reveal molding. 3. There is one small scratch on the hood. 4. There is a very small shallow bump the size of a nickel on the lower left quarter. 5. The clock does not work. I have posted nearly 100 good clear pictures showing every aspect of this car. You will see the frame, undercarriage, trunk, engine compartment, interior, and exterior.
