Up for bid is my PHS documented, rust free 1972 Ponitac GTO. I purchased this car last year and have had a fantastic time with it. I am going to do my very best to describe the vehicle. First, she is unmolested and numbers matching. The only item that is not the way it was in 1972 is the color. The original color is revere silver with rally stripes. The car is an olive green and shines up well. The paint job is a ten footer, there are several small scratchs and dings on the vehicle, the vinyl top is perfect as is the rear pumper and all crome. The interior aside from a small pull in the headliner and two small (repaired) blemishes on the dash is in great condition. I put some aftermarket rims on her but still have the original honeycomb wheels that will go with her.I have not invested in the paint yet because I had to invest in a transmission rebuild, an alternator, carb rebuild, shocks, tie rod ends, brakes, speedometer and a fuel pump. Here are a few data points on the vehicle; Engine - 6.6 liter, 4 bbl Qjet 750 CFM Transmission - TH 400 three speed auto Rear end is 3.23 limited slip She runs excellent...at idle and through the gears. This is a great driver! It could be show if someone had a bit of body work done on her and paint. I have no way of knowing if the miles are accurate. By looking at the carpet, the trunk and other interior components...it has low miles on her. I have this up for sale locally so I reserve the right to end auction early.
