Up for sale is a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am.......Original Red paint with Black Interior........... This car has a nice, strong running 350, With a Rochester 4-Barrel Carburetor, Hooker Headers..... Custom Dual Exhaust with Crossover Pipe, Automatic Transmission, Power Steering, Power Front Disc Brakes, Factory Tachometer, Black Bucket Seats (Black houndstooth interior) and Console...... Cowl tag shows that this car was a California, Factory Air Car, Mayan Red with Black interior. All the AC components have been removed from under the hood and the original 6.6 Liter has been replaced with a very nice, beefy 350.....#'s show the motor to be 78-79 correct.......... Has 142k miles, and very little, if any, rust........Non power windows work great.....Dash is in good shape, but not perfect..... Even has the original space saver spare tire in the trunk, with inflator..... Car is in very nice shape, but not perfect..........IT IS NOT A RUSTY PIECE OF GARBAGE, AND OVERALL IS VERY CLEAN..... I was planning on keeping, but my plans have changed......I have a 74 Trans Am that I will be restoring... This car is perfect for use as a daily driver, or a great one to restore, as the are very few issues of note...... This car runs and drives excellent, sounds great, very dependable, turn key and you can drive it home if you'd like. The car is VIRTUALLY RUST FREE...... This 32 year old vehicle has normal door dings, scuffs, scratches and the paint is pretty thin in places.....A great daily driver, while putting work into...... The lights, wipers, heater, and brakes work great..... Tires are excellent condition, and are BFG's all the way around...A little wider in the back with decent chrome American Racing Wheels. (Personally, I thing the wheels look like garbage, and detract from the look of the car.......) (I have a restored set of 1978 Snowflake wheels that I MAY put on the car...If I do, I will add to the listing, and add more pics........) The windshield is cracked, but will be replaced next week..... Has a BRAND NEW headliner......., tachometer does not work......
