up for auction today with a very low reserve is my 1988 mustang GT. Ived owned it almost 3 years here in north carolina and have only driven it about 300 miles. when I bought it, it had been in storage for 4 years.IM not 100% sure of the actual mialage but the original speedo I pulled from it had 56,000 on it. I still have it if you would like it with the car. It has a clean carfax and shows the mialage as exempt due to its age. I purchased it from west virginia. Ive had the transmission completely rebuilt with new torque converter as well. it is an AOD but is set up for performance and solid crisp shifts. It was done by a pro trans shop. the car overall is in great unmolested shape. It runs strong and has no major issues. It is original with the exception of long tube headers on it. the interior is pretty nice for its age but not perfect. It needs some detailing on the interior panels (paint). it also could use some minor body work (small rust spots) and exterior paint. I was going to finish it but have injured my back severely so my work on cars must cease.the car only needs some minor work to finish. pass door lock motor,recharge A/C,does not fast idle in morning ,once in while it will idle a little uneven and will stall. kind of strange but it starts right back up.pass seatbelt doesnt retract,power mirrors work but not all positions (probably switch) I have a few that I will give you with the sale.Ive installed new u-joints and flushed and refilled the rear end with new gear oil, installed new heater core, it has the original donut spare and jack. the car runs and drives good. all 4 tires have a lot of tread,brakes work good,All new headlights and parking lights, also new is the door and hatch weatherstripping as well as the door sweeps. I have also installed a ford motorsport speedometer pack with 140 MPH and a superchip on the ECM..hate to see it go!!. the fog lights, bar, and mounting plates are in the hatch area and will come with the car.it needs very little to finish and have a really nice fast car. I have a clear North Carolina title with NO leins. come and drive it home or trailer it your choice!. If you want it shipped you must make all arrangements. I will only assist in loading. I almost forgot: also included in the sale is 2 5.0 emblems for the front fenders,blue oval emblem for the hatch and mustang decals for the inserts.also the car cover in the last photo comes with the sale.
