This 1997 BMW is in overall good condition except the engine. It needs the head replaced. The gasket isn't blown but the cam bearings are worn. The engine starts and runs but can't be driven except to load it on a trailer. The body is in good condition with no rust just the usual scratches and a small dent in the right quarter panel. The tires are in good condition with better than 50% tread remaining. The 5 speed transmission is in perfect condition with no grinding or poping out of gear. The clutch was replaced 10,000 miles ago. The rear diff. is quiet with no clunking or whining, All the functions of the car work correctly (except engine); brakes, power steering, wipers, washers, power seat, heat, cold A/C, radio, manual top goes up and down smooth and easy, etc.etc. 5 years ago a kid backed into the passenger door. I didn't want the door fixed with body puddy so I made the body shop put another door on. The passenger seat has two small tears or punctures on the seat bottom, the drivers has a tear on the outside bolster. both seats are pictured The car is complete with no missing parts or items. If you or a friend can replace the head you'll have a great car cheap!!!!!!!
