Vehicle Detail
This is a 1967rs Camaro Convertible I bought 15 years ago when I lived in Las Vegas. It looks great, rides great and has been garage kept for as long as I’ve owned it. The engine is 327 CI with a 4-speed transmission. The odometer had 64K miles on it but who really knows. I had the engine overhauled about 2,000 miles ago by RPM machine shop here in Spearfish because I didn’t really trust anybody in Vegas to do it and the odometer reflects that. Last year I felt the ignition was a bit sluggish so I upgraded to a GM HEI distributor. It has turbo mufflers that give a nice sound but is not loud. Under the hood you may have noticed the aluminum radiator overflow. There are better places it could be put or it could be removed altogether. I put it on in Vegas where overheating was more of a concern then here and never removed it. I replaced the top cloth, installed GM power disc brakes, and rewired the car with a Painless wiring model specific kit while still in Vegas. The power top, power steering, fold down rear seat, and headlight doors work exactly like they are suppose to. In one of the pics you’ll see the convertible top boot. It’s practically new because I rarely use it. If you’ve ever had a convertible before you know what a pain it is to put on and remove. I have an older Kenwood head unit with CD changer in trunk and Boston Acoustic component speakers with a small Alpine amp driving it all…but I also have the original radio. Everything works on this car. Unlike a lot of cars you see advertised you don’t have to do anything to have a great looking and great running automobile. However, this car is 44 years old and is not perfect. The Z-28 paint is not original nor is it perfect but still looks great and the interior speaks for itself. If you are looking for something negative then I’d say the driver’s window, its a little loose. This economy has hit me hard so I have to selling my pride and joy. I’ve looked at what’s out there locally and nationally and there is some real crap out there for a lot of money. I am looking for a fair price for a vehicle in this condition. I have set a low reserve for this Camaro so I guess we’ll see where it ends up. I also will be listing this locally so this auction may end unexpectedly. I'll expect $1,500 down within 3 days after the sale is final and the remainder within 10 days. I have a paypal account, anything else will have to be approved but the Camaro and title stay here until the fund transfer is totally completed. I will help with shipping if needed. If you have questions let me know and I’ll do my best to answer them quickly. On Jun-10-11 at 09:07:06 PDT, seller added the following information: Added 06-10-11 Note: The weatherstripping was installed when I first got the car and is also 15 years old and “not perfect” either. In light of this, I’ll knock off $500 from the final price. This should more than pay for ALL the weatherstripping on the car. Sorry I didn't mention this earlier but I thought it was assumed.
