Vehicle Detail
1962 IMPALA CONVERTIBLE You are looking at a 1962 Impala Convertible that has recently had a extensive amount of restoration work done. If you are looking for that car that will grab anybodys attention or if you like to go to local or long distances cruises... this car is for you! It is not a 100 point car but it is very close! It has brand new paint, convertible top, rims, tires, stainless, chrome, suspension, and brakes! This car was originally built in St. Louis, Missouri and the previous owner only pulled it out a select few times a year to drive it in parades for over 15 years. It was garage kept the whole time and has not seen any water at any point in that time. The previous owner had the floorboards and rear quarter panels replaced while he owned the vehicle. The car has been painted a brand new GM factory color - White-8624 The dash was painted along with the steering column and steering wheel with a brand new GM factory color - Victory RedAfter the paint was finished it was taken to have the new convertible top installed along with refinishing the frame work as well. All new gaskets and rubbers were replaced at that time. The air ride was professionally installed with all name brand components such as AirRide Technologies, VIAIR, Air Lift and SMC. You can control the ride height by the push of two buttons mounted below the ignition on the dash. It has a dual needle gauge that allows you to monitor the pressure that is in the bags at any given time. The 283 CUI under the hood was detailed and all the belts, hoses, plug wires, and hose clamps were all replaced. Hood insulation was also installed after the paint was completed. All of the headlight buckets and brackets were sandblasted and painted back to original matte black finish along with the radiator support and inner fender wells. The battery, terminals, and wires are new. The previous owner had the powerglide rebuilt.95 percent of the exterior trim was replaced with brand new parts. All new exterior parts consist of both front and rear bumpers, side mouldings with the matching red insert that the dash was painted with, trunk deck panel, 7 piece die cast trunk trim, a couple taillight bezels, taillight lenses, side script emblems, front and rear emblems and chrome bezels, turn signal lenses, grille, grille teeth, hood lip moulding and liscense plate panels. The polished wheels are made by Coys Wheel and the name of them are C-5. The front wheels are 18X7 and the rears are 20X10. The 10" wide rim in the rear makes the back end of this car look amazing! They do not rub and have a nice fat lip!Disc brakes were added to the car along with upgraded slotted and cross drilled rotors. A brand new power brake booster and master cylinder was added to it as well! The car has factory power steering on it.All of the door panels are in excellent condition along with the arm rest bezels. The seats and carpet were replaced at the time of the door panels and look great too! There has been less than 30 miles put on this car since completion. This car is very nice and you WILL be pleased if you are the winning bidder. If you have any doubts I encourage anyone that is interested in this beautiful ride to fly in or drive to check it out yourself! I will assist in meeting with a vehicle inspector if you decide that is the best route for you.
