Selling an excellent running and driving vw rabbit diesel ls, it is a 1982 and I am the third owner, its originally from Florida, and was brought to Wisconsin 6 years ago, it is a 1.6 4cyl with a 4 speed manual transmission and has an overdrive or 5th gear also, it has new brakes and pads, new battery, new water pump and timing belt, newer tires, the only issue ive had with it, is on really hot days, the expansion tank which is plastic with a plastic cap, tends to leak a bit at the rubber seal that pressure locks the cooling system inside the cap, basically it needs a new cap, I daily drive it 85 miles each way with no issues whatsoever, it always starts and drives like new, all the blinkers works, all the lights work, all the doors open and close, the hood and rear hatch open and close, the hood has a lever to open it in front now which I installed to eliminate the rusty weak hood cable, this thing is averaging 50 mpg and doesn't seem to skip a beat, its definetly not brand new, and i did nothing to restore it by any means, but its a commuter and a great daily driver for me, this would be an awesome project for someone who wants to do a full restoration, the only reason I'm even selling this is because I bought a new jetta tdi and this one justs sits now. I am being completely honest you can get in it and start it right up it shifts through the gears and stops and goes, has a great clutch, and goes down the hwy well, since this is 30 years old this is an as is sale I cannot guarantee it can be driven across the country, even though I personally would do it!, feel free to ask any questions you have about it, thanks for looking!
