Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE This 1969 Road Runner is a very solid driver, ready for some new paint and some TLC. There is some rust in the rear lower quarter panels, about the lower 15%, as is typical on all old Mopars as well as some very light surface rust in a couple of spots around the rear window chrome and lower outer trunk and some door bubbles (SEE PICS), easy fix before fresh paint. The trunk and floor boards as well as the frame are extremely solid. The engine is a 383 C.I. High Performance 335 HP stock (the guy I bought it from told me it was a 1969 383 Road Runner block, but not the one that came with the car - maybe a factory replacement (I will get number off block), I haven’t confirmed this. The engine starts right away and runs very strong. The only change I can see on it is the Edlebrock 4 barrel Carb vs. a Carter 4 barrel AVS; it still has points in distributor. I have an Air Grabber base, air filter element and orange cover(all like new - see picture), plus a brand new three speed wiper motor- required for an air grabber set up , this car is a N96 (air grabber car) - see fender tag. I will also throw in the original bench seat (needs recovering) and four stock magnum wheels (need some repainting) w/ chrome trim rings in good shape. The odometer reads 25,022 miles, I'm assuming that it represents 125,022 miles - not sure what the title says as the bank still has it. I can check if you need me to. This Road Runner is very stock, it still has the left hand threaded lugs on the left side of car - just like it left the factory. I also have a set of Year One Road Runner chrome emblems for both doors and the Road Runner stickers as well, for after a repaint. The car was originally F5 Green, repainted B5 Blue. The car has the original AM Radio – It lights up when turned on, but I haven’t tried hooking up any speakers to it – I kind of like the sound of the 383 Big Block good enough. I bought the car in Florida about five years ago - drove it 1000 miles back to VA - no problems. I have put about 700 miles on it in the last six months - no issues. The motor runs very strong without smoking, transmission shifts smooth with zero clutch slippage. The dual exhaust pipes and mufflers as well as the gas tank look fairly new. The exhaust manifolds are stock tuned exhaust units with good flow – no exhaust leaks. All the gauges work, lights, blinkers etc. I put new front brakes on it about three years ago as well as rear shocks. I put a new starter on it last May. That is all I have done to the car since I owned it. This is my third 69 Road Runner in the past 35 years. I am selling this one for lawyer money – Divorce forces sale. You can drive this car anywhere – I wouldn’t hesitate driving it to the West Coast and hit Route 66 on the way. Engine always runs at a steady and cool 190 Deg. This engine does require Supreme/High Test gas or octane boost. No engine pinging with 89> octane gas. This car has a lot of potential – hence the reason I paid good money for it – I still owe about $ 2500 to the Bank. Thanks for looking. I'M ALSO SELLING A 1974 PLYMOUTH GOLD DUSTER ON EBAY - SEE GOLD DUSTER WITH COLD A/C - PINEY RIVER VA FEEL FREE TO CALL ME WITH QUESTIONS - CHRIS (757) 262-8627 --- I live in the mountains and text works best – please be patient on email replies, I have to bum my Buds Web connection – and it is slow.
