Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on my 2006 Suzuki DL650 V-Strom, one of the best all-around bikes you can buy. If you're looking at this listing you know that this bike can commute, tour, adventure tour and attack the twisties with the best of them. I purchased the bike new in May of 2007. It was still in the shipping crate at C&L Suzuki in Eldersburg, MD. It put 23K+ miles on the bike in the first two years, mostly touring, and just haven't ridden it much the last two years so I'm selling. This is a great bike, fit for all duty. I commute on it and have have done as much as 850 miles in a day. It's been on dirt roads a couple of times but never really offroad. Since 99+% of my riding was on road, I put Michelin Pilot sport touring tires on it. This bike is in great condition and runs perfectly. It may have a nick or wear mark here and there but nothing you'd wouldn't expect on a bike with 27,876 miles. It's been very well cared for and always garaged since new. I've changed the oil every 3,000 miles since new, using full synthetic. A Suzuki dealer did a valve adjustment at 18k, including new coolant. I just took a farewell ride of 100 miles and it runs as good as it did when new. With a new set of tires I wouldn't hesitate to ride absolutely anywhere on this bike. The good: It's a V-Storm Clear title in hand Garmin 2610 GPS PIAA 1100x running lights Suzuki gel seat (or stock seat, your choice) Pat Walsh Crash Bar System Plus w/highway pegs (http://patwalshdesigns.com) SW-MOTECH Quick-Lock Sidecarrier racks (http://www.twistedthrottle.com) Pelican 1510 hard bags SW-MOTECH center stand Suzuki hand guards K&N lifetime air filter Headlight protector Pat Walsh accessory shelf Fenda Extenda Radiator guard Engine and swingarm sliders New chain, sprockets (17 tooth countershaft to reduce highway RPM) and battery in 2010 The bad: The tires are about used up, maybe another couple thousand miles left on them. The bike has been on the ground twice. The first time, some dummy parked on the side stand and left it in neutral on an extremely windy day. The bike rolled off the stand and down to the left hitting another bike and breaking the front turn signal and windscreen. Both parts have been replaced with OEM parts. The only remnant of the incedent is a scrape on the black part of the faring (see photo). It cost me more to fix the BMW it hit! The second time was when I was hit from behind while sitting at a red light. The driver wasn't paying attention (nor was I, doh!) and just tapped me hard enough to knock me down. There are scapes on the Pelican bags, the left one where his bumber hit me and the right side where the bike hit the ground, the left bag mount was tweaked a bit (can you see it in the photos?), and the crash bar has a small scrape but no other damage was sustained.. If you have less than 10 feedbacks or have negative feedback, please do not bid without first contacting me or your bid will be cancelled. A non-refundable deposit of $250 via PayPal is due withing 24 hours of the auction end. Balance payable in cash only within 1 week of auction end. The bike is sold with no warranty of any kind. Shipping or pickup is the sole responsibility of the buyer. Please don't waste my time and cost me money if you're not serious about owning this bike. Please contact me with any questions.
