This one owner car has lived it's life in the beautiful Napa Valley in Northern California. The car was owned by Diane Disney Miller the oldest daughter of Walt Disney. Specs: 48hp, 96.7ci (1585cc) air cooled opposed four-cylinder engine, four-speed manual transmission, four-wheel independent suspension with front McPherson struts and rear torsion bars, four-wheel drum brakes. Wheelbase 94.5" 1979 was the last year the Beetle was sold in the USA. Offered only in the convertible model built by Karmann, the now nearly half-century old design couldn’t be tweaked any further to meet increasingly stringent exhaust emissions, safety and crash standards in the USA. Presented here is an astonishingly well preserved, one-owner convertible, finished in beautiful brilliant White throughout. The finish, interior, and chrome remain very bright and have not yellowed over the years, including the vinyl lined soft top. The original paint still looks amazing and the black vinyl interior is still in fantastic shape and shows that it has spent its entire life kept in a garage. Displaying only 29,000 original miles, this auto benefits from all of Volkswagen’s many later improvements, including a fuel-injected engine and an updated interior layout. The bug is accompanied by original owner’s manual, jack, tools and spare tire.
