Up for auction is a 1963 Chevrolet Corvair Monza coupe. I am posting this for my Father, and he is the man behind the restoration process. This is his second Corvair restoration and he knows these cars inside and out. This project has come to a halt as his health is preventing him from finishing this project so he has decided to let it go. The Car is about 80% completed and most of the work has been done to the Body and engine. The engine has had a lot of new wiring done by a certified Mechanic, new alternator, belts, hoses, plugs, tuned etc.. Have been installed. The battery has been removed as it just sits in the garage, but she starts right up with no problem, and the old man cruises around the neighborhood from time to time to (as he would put it) “keep her in shape”. There are two areas on the body that need to be repaired as you will see in the pictures. The first is the skirt, under the front fender, which needs to be reattached. The second is the paint on the nose of the car. The tires are all new (and spare) and all hub caps are original for this car. My father ordered only Corvair parts which cost a small fortune but that’s how he wanted it, all original from head to toe. Now to the interior of the car. As you can see from the pictures, it needs to be redone pretty much throughout. This was the last leg of his restoration process but just didn’t get to it. Everything is there, in place and seems to work fine, it’s just not as pretty as it should be. Overall, this is a beautiful Classic car in exceptional shape for its 47 year age.
